Three University of Georgia freshman football players have been dismissed from the team for violation of team rules according to an announcement by Bulldog head coach Mark Richt.
Sanford Seay of Leesburg, Nick Marshall of Rochelle, and Chris Sanders of Tucker were dismissed Friday morning after meeting with Richt. Seay was redshirted in 2011, Marshall played mostly special teams, and Sanders played in the first three games before being sidelined with an injury the remainder of the season.
Making room for some post-NSD schollies?
I'm not familiar with the Georgia starters, but these guys don't sound like they were big dogs. Dawgs, whatever. It's a lot easier to get bounced off when you're not a starter.
And if they were stealing from teammates, then to hell with 'em. Stealing from anyone is wrong, and from friends/ family/ teammates...
You're good, that's exactly what happened. They were Sabanized, eventhough we undersigned on NSD.
That's fine, I said that I don't try to keep up with Georgia starters, and I'll include with that how many schollies they have left.
I figure that coaches always like to have some extras tucked in their back pocket though, and if a player is underproducing, and then gives the coach a good excuse to pull the scholarship, it shouldn't be a huge surprise. It can be useful to have some wiggle room for the future.
I don't think those three would have seen much of the field anyway. This "incident" won't be a big factor in that game or the '12 season. Now if Aaron Murray got suspended........................
I'm just confused why you guys are so confident that we will lose. You guys will be better but so will we. We only lost 3 starters and are bringing in a healthy hunter and some impact JUCO guys.[/QUOTE
I, for one, am not confident against any SEC team. On paper, UGA should beat a lot of teams this year. You mentioned the returners for UT but you have to look at what other teams are returning as well, and the quality. But the games are played on the field and coaching plays an aweful big part in how the players perform. We'll see.
