Well, adrenaline can be a helluva hormone. Kind of like how it was when we whipped Miami in that bowl game.
Or came from behind in South Bend. The Bama is the Best stuff is like waving a red cloth in front of a Spanish fighting bull or worse yet, throwing sticks at a bison (I say from experience, don't do it), sooner or later one them bovines are going to gore the Red Team. As a Vols fan, I can't in anyway say I'm sad when it happens.

I am ready for it to be the orange and white bison that gores them! Despite winning back to back and 3 out of 4 MNCs, bammer has been losing to (supposedly) "lesser" teams all these years. They are good for a choke job at least once a year. We are due to be the beneficiaries of one of their chokes! I have relatives who are big time bammers, and all I have heard this week is a bunch of chest thumping about luring this Evans character away from auburn. I want to see how much they think of him when the first scrambling QB they play runs around his butt and leaves him in the dust.

Linebacker sideline to sideline speed killed us the last few years we were decent up front plus we could not cover anybody.

True but remember under CDD Staff, members were allowed to "check off" on S&C without actually doing any. How much better would Couch, Miller, etc have been with CBJ aggressive S&C program?

I also think this staff is a much better evaluator of Talent as last years batch of Sutton, North, Vereen and JRM have proven.

True, but Smith, Miller, and Walls went through so many position coach changes, S&C coach changes, as well as 2-3 DC changes, having to learn new schemes and techniques almost on a year to year basis, that it is no wonder none of them ever reached their potential. I think if our defensive staff stays intact, especially if Strip stays their DL coach for their entire careers, these guys will develop into a SEC-quality DL.

True, and while I don't like to say this about a guy who has been through a lot, Smith was pretty overrated.

True, but Smith, Miller, and Walls went through so many position coach changes, S&C coach changes, as well as 2-3 DC changes, having to learn new schemes and techniques almost on a year to year basis, that it is no wonder none of them ever reached their potential. So much this. While players on other teams were refining technique and strength and conditioning, our guys were learning a new scheme.

Hopefully our defensive staff develops our talent well enough to stick around for a while. Continuity can do a lot for a players development.

The upgrade at the skill position is very exciting. Were young but JMO are as talented as any team in the SEC at WR, TE, and Running Back. If any of the QB's can become a leader this team will put up some points early and often.

Though I'm all in for the Dobb Goblin right now, I believe the WR and TE upgrades are going to make any of our QBs better. The coaches may be forced to sweat and ponder and sweat some moreover who to start. If not the Dobb Goblin, then either Journeyman Justin, Percussion Pistol Peterman, or Rifleman Riley. Reason I'm in Dobb Goblin's camp is the OL is GREEN and how. The QB must be able to haul "ash" because he sure will have to until that OL develops. But give any of them decent time with the WR corps we have now, it will be something like this:
