At the moment I'm torn between Animals and Wish You Were Here, but it tends to change from day to day.

Tough. Dark Side is hard to argue. Sublime album. Echoes is certainly up there. It's between those two for me I think. WYWH is a close contender.

Would she sell your story to Rolling Stone?
Take the children away
And leave you alone?
Smile in reassurance as she whispers down the phone?

Would she send you packing?
Or would she take you home?

Animals gets old to me very quickly - I love the song structures but they go on too long IMHO.

Dark Side and Wish You Were Here keep my attention better.

I'm kinda surprised no one's said Meddle yet.

Really hard to pick just one favorite album. The 80' Wall concert in LA was on of my favorite concerts though.

Toss up between the wall, wish you were here, and dark side of the moon. If there are any real floyd fans here, i highly suggest checking out The Machine. Official cover band. Ive seen them twice and they blow me away. Amazing light show performances as well. Im a huge PF fan.

The Machine is going to be at Riverbend in Chattanooga this year. I highly suggest anyone in the area to check it out. If you close your eyes and just listen, you really would think it was PF playing.

Come on guys... it's hard to argue against Animals. Some of PF's best musicianship and songwriting can be seen here.

I met a guy who wrote a very technical article for one of the guitar mags out there. It revolved around how David Gilmour created those incredible sounds that we all know PF for. But in between the step-by-step process of how he did it and evolved it, he told a great story of how the band went from thier original head guy (Syd Barrett) to Gilmour. It is quite interesting how the whole thing played out and what happened to Barrett. They were a much different group and,IMO, probably would not have had the monumental success that came had Gilmour not been lead singer/guitarist.

P.S.- This guy got the whole story from Gilmour himself. I asked how does one get an interview with a dude like that, and he said he searched to find the contact info for Gilmour's agent, asked if he could speak to David Gilmour for an article he's writing, and Gilmour called him back personally a couple days later and gave him over an hour of is time chatting. Who knew?
