is it because i'm right or because i accidentally put ONE extra letter where it didn't go?

i don't think i need to repeat the 'when they attack your spelling...' comment here.

sorry.

I was a little harsh, but try harder to spell correctly. :p

The Sagarin rankings were around before the BCS, so your argument doesn't make a lot of sense, really.

this is true, but before the BCS what was the Sagarin really used for?

The same thing its for now ... predictive power rankings. It's not a poll, per se. A poll, IMO, is a ranking that is based on what a team has accomplished. A power ranking is more for predicting a current game's finish right now.

That's why I'm not sure I like power ratings being in the BCS.

Navy winning would be outrageous.

But you need to take down even the hint of a possibility of Florida not winning from this thread. Florida will win. Period.
well, I guess it's official now...especially since the game hasn't been played yet. btw, is there a chance you are a fan of the Florida Gators?

Lou Holtz claimed that it wouldn't be an upset when South Carolina beats the Vols.

ND over Navy is the longest winning streak in the nation, so I'd say that would be the biggest upset, hands-down. Number two is UT over UK. Not so long ago it was UT over Vandy.

SC beating us would be the biggest upset for me, but in the entire picture it has to be Navy over ND.

The Sagarin ratings-Worth exactly as much as the paper they're printed on.
Which would be nothing. They're on a computer.

Navy beating ND would probably be the biggest upset of the last decade at this point. 43 straight wins over the Midshipmen for the Domers.
