Most times coaches come to the SEC they always struggle. Even experienced coaches like Brett Belema has had trouble with transition.

I agree but damn this league catches up fast---Auburn had the perfect storm---went 3-9 and hired the perfect coach.

Not much at all. But can recruit more talent....sell more to recruits. But a coach is a coach. He can be bad here or there.jmo

Malzahn, Freeze and Franklin prooved it can be done in year 1.

Malzahn took a team that recently won a national championship.

Franklin took over a team with a bunch of RS players from the previous coach.

Freeze did a good job.

If we have Worley healthy, we're going bowling.

A healthy Worley and imagine if CP or JH hadn't gone pro...just one of them stayed...with our run game the passing game would have really looked different and the CBJ hate wouldn't be so wound up right now.

Yada, Yada -- CBJ shoulda pulled a 8 win season vs. those who knows he needs some time and better players. What I want to know is - whats the story with those god awful Mississippi State unis tonite? Looks like Las Vegas hookers in gold lame..............

Are you one of the "Butch needs 5 years to get things turned around" people? I'm assuming yes.

That's better then the "lets changes coaches every three years till we get one that can win eight plus games in his first year" opinion that you and a lot of others seem to have

when you make piss poor coaching mistakes (fake field goals on 4th and 19) (No shots down field with 4 starting CB's out of your opponents) and your team looks like trash after an off week. You don't deserve 5 years .

Franklin took a team that was 5-6 for most of the last decade and pushed them to win 1 more game in year 1. Malzan took a team that he was familiar with and had the same offense installed already. What about everyone else. in the last decade? It normally isn't a smooth transition so there has to be a reason/

After Dobbs abysmal night passing you can't really blame them for their conservative play calling and on the 4th and 19 what would you have done? Palardy was having his worst outing of the year so you don't really have faith that he can make a long field goal and if it has worked you would be singing butches praises

Nobody said to fire him if he didnt win 8 games in the first year, but we should see MAJOR improvement in 3 years, not 4 or 5.

Malzahn and Freeze walked into much better situations, and if Butch was playing the same schedule Vandy played in Franklin's first year, we might be sitting at 8-4.

I was being very sarcastic, but I do believe we need to keep CBJ for at least four/five years for the sake of stability. As I stated in another thread no decent coach is going to want to come here if we keep changing coach every couple of years and recruits aren't going to want to come either if they are worried about not playing for the coach that's recruits them
