Evidently Philip Jurick has let it be known that he is not happy with his playing time. What has he said? Does anyone know? He could be losing his scholarship because were over one. Why did we sign him in the first place if he couldn't contribute? Any info guys?
He had some sort of injury this year. He has potential. Not a single person can say he will be a flop when the guy hasn't had a second of playing time yet. After watching him get a lil better each year in high school, there is nothing that tells me he cant do it on the next level. He will never be a offensive threat, but a great defender/rebounder
All i know is that he is not an SEC caliber player, so if we had to eliminate a scholarship there would be 3 or 4 guys that i wouldnt mind seeing gone....He is one of them.
He should transfer to UTC where he could sit the bench there and at least have a shot at some PT.
I'm not saying whether he is or isn't sec caliber, and I know we should take rivals rankings with a grain of salt in bball, but something had to give him the 4 star rating out of high school...
I think everyone's judgments on him at this point are a little premature. It may not have been the right fit for him, and in the end, he decided to move on, but judging his talent after never seeing him play is a little unfair.
I still dont understand why everyone is so down on the guy. He has never played a minute yet. I could understand if he played all season and averaged 1.2 pts a game or something, but he didn't. I am not saying he is the next star player in the country, but gotta give him the chance. He just got a bad deal IMO. Had no idea Negedu would be transferring when he committed. If he stays, he will get some playing time next year to show if he has anything to contribute. Then...if he fails, we can bash
