Evidently Philip Jurick has let it be known that he is not happy with his playing time. What has he said? Does anyone know? He could be losing his scholarship because were over one. Why did we sign him in the first place if he couldn't contribute? Any info guys?

All i know is that he is not an SEC caliber player, so if we had to eliminate a scholarship there would be 3 or 4 guys that i wouldnt mind seeing gone....He is one of them.

He should transfer to UTC where he could sit the bench there and at least have a shot at some PT.

He had some sort of injury this year. He has potential. Not a single person can say he will be a flop when the guy hasn't had a second of playing time yet. After watching him get a lil better each year in high school, there is nothing that tells me he cant do it on the next level. He will never be a offensive threat, but a great defender/rebounder

I never saw the potential but I just watched 5 or 6 of his hs games. He is tall, thats about all I saw. He might have played for Devoe...

He has cut some weight since high school, and got alot more agressive. His first couple years of high school the guy would get blocked out by guys 6 inches shorter than him.

I'm not saying whether he is or isn't sec caliber, and I know we should take rivals rankings with a grain of salt in bball, but something had to give him the 4 star rating out of high school...

I think everyone's judgments on him at this point are a little premature. It may not have been the right fit for him, and in the end, he decided to move on, but judging his talent after never seeing him play is a little unfair.

I have seen him play too. Sophmore year, Junior year, and senior year...each year got better. Not to mention that he played against teams who would always put 2-3 guys on him. I saw him once since he has been at UT. He doesn't look like the same guy at all. Alot more muscle on him now

Did he even get in a game last season?. He honestly never impressed me at all and personally think it was a wasted scholly...I guess Pearl is allowed one brain fart once in awhile but damn.

I still dont understand why everyone is so down on the guy. He has never played a minute yet. I could understand if he played all season and averaged 1.2 pts a game or something, but he didn't. I am not saying he is the next star player in the country, but gotta give him the chance. He just got a bad deal IMO. Had no idea Negedu would be transferring when he committed. If he stays, he will get some playing time next year to show if he has anything to contribute. Then...if he fails, we can bash

Who is going to give up playing time for him to get some minutes? Chism? Nope. Williams? Not. Negedu? He needs more minutes as it is.

He has failed because he isn't good enough to get in a game.
