Every time I read a coaching change peace It always list tn with not so good options. Like tommy t an Kirby smart at bama. Tn does not need to go back in time if a change is made or have another learn on the job project. I hope if the change they do their homework this time for the sake of tnx football

totally agree. Hart may try to shove kirby smart down our throat. I'm not cool with any of the current names being floated around(except Gruden) for the UT job. It is a prestigious job and should be treated as such

Brother,

Gruden will not come to U.T. Of course, at one time he was listening to U.T. out of interest. He is likley headed to San Diego.
From what I heard on the radio this morning, he has assembled a staff of Ron Zook as his Defensive Co ordinator and his offensive co ordinator will be his brother Jay Gruden.
He is asking for a million for each co ordinator and who knows what type of salary he will ask for himself....
The name of the team that he is assembling his staff for is not officially known yet, but I would take an educated guess and say it is not U.T.

We just spent $45 million on a training facility so Dave Hart knows we expect for the best available no matter what the cost. Its like buying a million dollar house and not having any furniture and 1973 beater to drive. As Tennessee fans we have no problem with paying more money for a winning team again and Dave Hart knows that winning will fill the stands. Dooley and most of his crew need to call UHaul and some movers and get packing because we will accept nothing less than being the best,PERIOD!!!!

The Gruden love fest here still makes me laugh.

Now don't get me wrong, if he comes I'll be just as ecstatic as everyone else, I just think that right now, the possibility of him coming to coach here are just about nil.

Educated guess = "Gruden will not come to U.T."?

Zook's best asset is his recruiting - sounds like Gruden is assembing a college staff to me.

Jay Gruden is under a 3 year contract with the Bengals as their OC. I doubt that he will be heading to where ever his bro goes.

It's really easy to be a negavol until the parade starts. At that point you have become irrelevant.

I completely agree. We certainly dont need to become a place to train Alabama coaches by trial and error. We need a proven coach and a proven recruiter, ie. hi get Gruden

Don't know if SD will be the winner but I agree that there's some definite competition for open spots in the pro ranks (Eagles will prob can Reid this year too.)

Bottom line, UT isn't the only place hiring these days. You never know what's driving his or any other coaches decision but top candidates will have a number of choices this year.

Pennington is an over-paid woman that has no knowledge( unless jimmy hyams gives it to him), I cant stand fat boy pennington. Worse out of all of them!

There is still a chance he will come to UT. Nobody really knows anything solid about this situation, so it is ok to speculate and hope he is UT's next coach

Have you seen the Bungels play lately ? NFL teams change coaches when they dont win - unlike some college teams I know of.
