What's with the 8:30 AM game on kickoff Saturday?

If it means James Franklin and his squad being embarrassed on a world stage, I'm all for it.

if I lived in Hawaii I wouldn't complain about much either
After paying $7 for a gallon of milk, $3 for a loaf of bread, $4.60 a gallon of gas, and $500k for less than 1,000 sq ft place to live, you'd have alot to complain about. Hey, its nice weather though.

I would say it's probably because it's more convenient for the people who will be working and going to the game as opposed to the fans who want to watch from here who just have to set alarms and turn on the tv.

Wouldn't 6:00 pm in Ireland translate into about 1:00 Eastern time... roughly?

That's what I learned in this thread lol.

Jmo here, but if im from America and im in Ireland for a football game, i want it to be early so i have all night to go eat/drink/whatever. It's more about the vacation than the game, again jmo.

I dont understand the point of an American football game being played between two American university teams .. in Ireland.

And Im sure the Irish won't understand it either.

What if St. Kieran's College played CBS Kilkenny(two Irish universities) in a game of Irish college hurling in Nashville? Would any of you be interested?

By the time kickoff Saturday gets here I will have no problem getting up at 8.30 to watch this game. It beats watching the first two hours of GameDay.

I'll be there with the wife (former UCF golfer)... We're taking 2 weeks over there to attend the game and are playing golf at Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Ballybunion and Old Head. Cannot wait!

You can pay those prices in California also. Milk is around $4, bread is $3-4, Gas is like $4.05 here, higher in smaller towns, and 500 bucks would get you a studio in the ghettos.
