Baraka
Could you explain to me what it was about this film that you found appealing?
I found it to be both biased and ridiculous. All the video footage taken of "civilized" society was dour and mundane: going to work, processing chickens, etc. They contrasted this with only happy video footage from the undeveloped world: feasts, banquets, celebrations. Not exactly on equal footing.
Having stepped foot in more than a few undeveloped and/or developing nations, I can attest to the fact that feasts and celebrations are not occurred on a daily basis.
I just watched 'The King of Kong' on netflix, pretty entertaining story, some strange folks involved.

Brian Kuh.....F'n hate that guy.
If you don't remember him, he was Billy Mitchell's bish.
He kept calling Billy when Steve was trying to beat his record in that arcade. Total douches.
YouTube - Because I'm Billy Mitchell
While Billy Mitchell certainly takes the cake for being a narcissistic a**hole, I failed to identify one agreeable character in the entire film. Weibe gets close, yet his negligence as a parent (he continued playing Donkey Kong instead of wiping his son's a**), is appalling!Brian Kuh.....F'n hate that guy.

Yeah, the viewpoint of the filmmaker trying to make him into a sympathetic character kind of went down the crapper with his home life.
