I posted this in the ticket forum but thought it might get more eyes here. The one response I got there was that they are sold out. That can't be right, can it? I know the season tickets are, but the single game haven't even been available yet.

Don't single game tickets usually go on sale mid to late July? Alabama's went on sale today.

Thought more people would be talking about this. What am I missing?

I think in the past single game tickets were available due to season tickets not being sold. Since they are sold out on season tickets, they may not have any single games available.

second thought: If schools coming into Neyland don't sell the allotment they got and return some to UT, they might have those to sell as single game tickets.

Vanderbilt rarely uses its allotment and not sure if students will use all since this game is Saturday after Thanksgiving.

I called yesterday. They said the stadium was sold out.

If you called yesterday then I believe you...I guess that is what it is...

But here is an article from a month and a half ago saying season tickets were sold out and only single game tickets remain: Tennessee football sells out season tickets for 2023 home schedule

I thought this is why sports teams (at all levels) cap season tickets (for us 70,500) so that there will still be single game tickets available to general public. Are season tickets, plus student tickets, plus visitor tickets equal to 102k?

It is in the best interest of the program to sell as many tickets as they can ahead of time, especially if those tickets also carry a mandatory donation. Unless we suck again soon, I don't expect it to get any easier to get tickets unless you are willing to pay through the nose on the secondary market.

You gotta figure it’s close. The student section is pretty big. It’s got the big lower deck section plus some uppers. Plus visitor tickets. And then any that they reserve for recruits, their families, players families, etc.

What’s sad is all these people that bought season tickets just to resale. I saw South Carolina tickets yesterday for $350 a piece. Just raking folks over the coals.

I think the only single games they have made available so far is to the season ticket holder who made requests for away games. I have not seen anything besides the neutral site game with Virginia available through allvols. I did receive an email that my request for 2 away tickets at UK were processed and they took my money. They then proceeded to let me know I will be assigned my seats at a later date.

As my son goes to UT, We know of many students last year that could not get tickets especially freshman as there was not enough to met student demand.

It goes by seniority. I used to buy the tickets for me and my sister because I went into the university with hours completed because of my AP courses in high school. Gotta get in the second they go on sale too. Never missed a game as a student

Understand as I have a post grad and rising Junior.

I know Juniors that could not get tickets last year. Even had a waiter who was a senior that could not get tickets.

Bottom line my point is with success the student demand is keeping their recently expanded section full.

Although my seats are in sun, section D next to students. It is so much fun to see all of them there at least an hour early, standing up and cheering the entire time plus their wifi access was better than mine to find out what was happening during the game. All have been very courteous to those of us across the aisle.

No doubt, I went to school for Fulmers final year, Kiffin’s only year and Dooley’s first two. It probably was considerably easier for me to get tickets

Here's the answer.from an email today. You will need a donor to purchase them on Wednesday.

"The 2023 home football schedule and current availability are detailed below. Single game sales are based on available inventory and are not guaranteed.

As a result of selling out of 2023 season tickets, the total ticket inventory to start the process includes fewer than 2,000 tickets per available game listed below. Additionally, the majority of inventory is located in the south upper deck.

Please note that we will include the purchase link in an email, as well as your unique access code on Wednesday morning.

2023 Home Football Schedule:
Austin Peay (September 9, 2023)
UTSA (September 23, 2023) SOLD OUT!
South Carolina (September 30, 2023)
Texas A&M (October 14, 2023) SOLD OUT!
UConn (November 4, 2023)
Georgia (November 18, 2023) SOLD OUT!
Vanderbilt (November 25, 2023)"

interesting that SCAR didn't sell out their allotment.

A lot of the tickets one sees for sell are through ticket master or something similar. They are making a mint when they can buy all the ticketx available after season tickets have been sold. Usually you can buy some tickets to non SEC games at a reasonable price. SEC games will cost an arm and a leg to purchase.

I'll help a vol fan out if they need some.
Please let me know if you would be willing to help me out, I need 4. Coming from Mississippi. Bringing my 3 young daughters. Hoping to come to the SC game and/or Vandy. I reserved a room for both of those games.

I doubt that there will any football tickets available from the Tennessee ticket office until Bowl game tickets go on sale. Third party companies suck up all the tickets which were available ASAP. I think UT should reserve some tickets for fans, but they want to sell every ticket and get the money in the till.We had the opportunity to buy extra tickets when we ordered season tickets and later when they gave us the opportunity to buy more season tickets and individual game back In April, I , and many others , did not take advantage of that opportunity. I will likely buy some extra next season.

So you want 4 to each if possible? Is there a handling fee I get? I also have 4 available in section B for Vandy.

I’m a season ticket holder and I bought some extras for Austin Peay this morning. The prices for Austin Peay single game tickets are $129 for lower sideline, $84 for lower corners and $79 for uppers. South Carolina only had uppers available and they were $154 each. Vandy single game tickets are $129 for lower sideline, $84 for lower corners and $79 for uppers. These costs include fees so only tax is added to the the total cost. My $84 listed tickets cost $96 total for APSU.
