When Does Dave Hooker Replace Basillio on TSR

Probably been discussed before but I cannot find anything on this. When does Dave Hooker replace Basillio at 11 AM on TSR? They have him listed on the programming but Basillio is still on.

Not sure, but i'm guessing they'll have a big drop in ratings, Hooker was awful on the Sports Page.

Im not a big fan TB he reminds me to much of Rome and i cant stand him.. I have listened to Hooker and hes a hell of a lot better than TB. JMO

i couldnt handle Basilio either. turned it of when he came on. he was like nails on a chalkboard, monotone and boring. i Like Hooker on the air so far. i also enjoy the other shows.

Wish TSR would announce when Hooker actually replaces TB. Must be some contract stuff to play out for TB I guess.

I believe TB purchased airtime until July 26 or something. As for those "terrible" DH ratings, I would like to see a link to that. IMO it's a much better show than TB.

I thought Hooker reported for ESPN now, am I wrong? I've just seen him do a few interviews on ESPN.com so I thought he may have changed jobs. :dunno:

Hooker is on TSR from 1-3 until the end of the month then he'll take over Tony's spot. But I have to say, hooker is awful. Bad, really bad.

I agree with you that I don't like Basilio either. However I think you need to look up the meaning of the word monotone. Basilio is like an over the top caricature. Pure shock jock and at times outright silly. His radio endorsements are even worse! If anything, Hooker is monotone and after a steady dose of Basilio over the last year I am completely fine with that!

Don't agree..good info guy and I get his personality...he'll get better and better...hey they're running Pearl out there and he needs work...so no quick hook seems to be in the works

Totally agree. Especially the Mexican Restaurant one.

I like dave hooker but I enjoy the craziness that is the Tony Basilio Show. I will follow TB where ever he goes. He is a fan first! and I like that. Dave Hooker said that when he began his career he stopped being a Vol fan because it was not professional. How can you change your stripes like that. I do not respect that.

Hooker was pretty funny when he used to be on the radio. Not the most knowledgeable guy but he entertained.

The only thing that scares me about Basilio being off the air: His 10-12 fans will have to find another place to congregate. They will clog up the airwaves for the next few months with their ignorance calling other shows.

At least we had them all in one place with Basilio's show.

I am not a big fan of Tony B and a less fan of Hooker. TSR is taking a big step backwards imo.

I generally like Hooker, but he always starts well and yields dimishing returns as he burns out. He never stays very long.

Also, expect a lot of Dallas Cowboys talk.

I understand why people don't like/get TB. I just put up with the bad parts for the 10%-20% of decent to good radio...which is more than I can count on hearing on the Sports Animal.

I listen almost everyday via their app and glad for this change. Hardly any info with TB. Hooker is no Ainge, but much better than what's on at 11.
