Not trying to high jack the thread, but I have a serious question. Where do dish network subscribers watch the vols games since CBS is no longer offered? I can't start a thread yet. Sorry?

online cbssports.com will show the game and if you're tech savy can make your pc output to tv or have phone that can airplay do the same and output to tv.

Wasn't trying to be one. What other options do you have besides finding someone with cable, or going to the game?

Sorry then, I guess I had my guard up. I already knew of the options you presented. I was just looking for others having the same Dish issue and how others were planning to address for future games.

I saw that tweet too. It didnt make much sense to me...also Ive been looking at uttix.com & it won't show anything. It just says "loading." Hate to diss UT, but that site is almost worthless

If you go on UTTIX and "pick your seats" you'll see thousands of available seats in both end zones.

Buy a relative cheap $25-30 (depending on how far away from your local CBS stations tower you are) antenna at Walmart and hook it to to your TV.

If you have a HD tv and you live remotely close (<40mi) to Nashville or Memphis you can enjoy CBS in HD for absolutely FREE! It will look better than Comcast, Dish, Direct etc, b/c there's much greater bandwidth; Colors are brighter, less compression artifacts, dolby digital sound. :eek:k:

The range for Knoxville and Chatt are a bit more spotty b/c of the terrain. A set of rabbit ears are all you need.

I cut cable (kept internet for netflix, hulu), bought an antenna for locals ..

Try anntennaweb.org, click start, then type your address, will show you distance and direction of channels to know how to point your antenna and how big of one you need (bigger is better, obligatory twss)

TVFOOL.com is another useful resource.

You can use the code AAAGOVOLS to get $50 tickets. I know it's not as good as $10, but it's still better than $80 :dance2:

Pack Neyland!

Still couldn't get on the site on the computer. Got on using my phone Internet but $80 was the lowest price, even choosing my seat. I tried the AAAGOVOLS code & it sent me in circles! Was trying to find cheap tkts for friends

Two things....one, I have dish and I have CBS. Is there a local issue where you live????

Two....the game is on ESPN. :)

And of course I see others have pointed out the ESPN thing...but you might still want to watch uga-vandy or Tamu-Auburn, both of which are on CBS Saturday. Good luck!

Yeah I agree with the game being 12:00 and combine that with students being gone they will not sell out.

I know several people in Nashville and Memphis that tried and could not sell tickets who are choosing to not drive over for this early game. Its not in the dozens but does reflect a trend. Lot of Memphis people will drive morning of game and return after rather than spend the bucks to stay. Cheaper to lose ticket cost than travel for early games..

If we didn't have family to stay with in Knoxville while in for games it would make it a lot harder to travel from Memphis. Good point you made.
