When exactly does UT play Tim Tebow's Team.

I worked weekends at a place very much like Taft for about 3 months.Put it this way, don't make anybody mad and turn your back on them. And they only tried to jump me and get my keys once.3-1 but they were smarter than that on the end. It's not as bad as long as you have a ratio of about 2 adults to 10-12 youth to be honest. Also helps to be in shape.
A running back from my high school years who went on to UCLA, Tommy Taylor, said playing Taft was the hardest he got hit his entire HS career.

I have been thinking about this and have decided that I am right and you guys are wrong. Tebow is the real deal and the denial on here about that is simply alarming.More importantly, I am at Hooters.

Be sure to alert us if Tim Tebow's sister/girlfriend/scientifically induced friend is your waitress.

Says the guy with a muppet avatar, who still believes that U Miami football is salvageable, who doesn't capitalize Homer (not Simpson, Finevol), and who has a shrine at home to towel-biter boy.

LG, I have the perfect analytical comparison for Tebow.
Mariano Rivera, Yankees reliever. When he is called upon to pitch, it is always a short duration maybe 1 or 2 innings. When Tebow is called in it is normally for a short duartion as well.Mariano does a great job, one of the best when he is in for a short period, but put him in to start a game he proabably wouldn't last effectively 4 to 5 innings.Tebow has played great for short durations basically but for the long haul he is unproven.

I'm the one who told you to capitalize Homeristic, if using the term to discuss ancient poetry. I was using homeristic to decscribe a class of clueless, sycophantic fans who attribute Bunyanesque attributes to guys who have accomplished nothing. You know, like you with Tebow. You sound like Beano Cook blathering about Ron Powlus. As far as avatars, at least I don't change mine because I'm afraid I may have offended some transgender loser posing as a Gator player's mother. Further, a man who wears a Steely Dan pocket protector to work shouldn't be taking shots at Jerry Tarkanian.

Beano Cook = Lawgator :eek:lol:

I was just joshing you. As you know, I am a big fan of your avatar.

Having said that, the Steely Dan crack was uncalled for! I am going to see them, by the way, on May 12. Got six tickets to see them at the Hard Rock here in Orlando. They are the Tim Tebow of jazz-rock.

I'm not sure who that insults more, Becker and Fagen or Tebow.

It is the highest compliment payable to any of the three.

But back to the subject at hand: Hat, what is your overall opinion of how UT has done in terms of keeping up with the Jones' in recruiting?

I'm not asking if they are doing better than before. I'm asking how you think they rate relative to the improved or weakened recruiting of Florida, UGA, Alabama, Auburn, SC, and LSU.

With the exception of their expected horrid February 2006 class, given that it was coming on the heels of a 5-6 season, Tennessee's recruiting hasn't been the problem.

Recruiting has never been the problem, it's getting them to produce on the field.

Are you sure it isn't a little bit of both?

From my perspective as a rival fan, it certainly appears that UT has recruited some terrific players, but has yet to assemble the total class of top athletes. You seem to get 3 or 4 of the most coveted every year, but that's about it. Not that the others you bring in aren't good, but they aren't the premium blue chippers that you need to get from top to bottom.

And then there is the question of whether they are maximized. Personally, I think they are but because of the lack of production in other areas they don't seem to be as successful as their counterparts at programs where the rest of the team is also contributing.

I didn't know that there was a single Div I team in the nation that has blue chip athletes from top to bottom at every position. The talent UT brings in, isn't the problem. It's that UT's rivals recruits athletes of the same caliber and the talent gap isn't there any more.

If you honestly expect a college to recruit 10-12 blue chip 5 star rated players a year you're crazy.

Florida has been doing it for the last two years. USC has for the last 5-6.

you got a link? cause that's a great recruiting class for me on PS2:eek:lol:. I seriously doubt you can show me documentation that UF recruited 11 5* athletes on each team the past 2 years and that USC has recruited even 8 blue chip athletes per class every year for the last half decade.

Looked it up and you are correct. In fact, you rank this year right behind us and you actually have one more five star recruit than us.

Yet, it seems that UT does not succeed like you would think with such talent. Uh, oh!! I feel the start of a Fulmer vs. Fulmer debate!!
