They won't tackle, They try and bring folks down grabbing high, They never look back, And can't remember the last time one laid a lick like the Colorado St. DB laid that Even Deon said it was a good play. Sure we may have a few that can run but what good is it if you can't lay a lick. What's Eric Berry doing these days ? Maybe he would like to comeback and TEACH how it's done. I'm tired of these retread coaches who taught the same crap last time they were here. Duh!

why say it? as far back as the 80's UT has had problems in the secondary. Every so often you get an Eric Berry, but the VOLS have a history of problems back there....nothing new IMHO.

We play our most experienced DB's. I'm hoping we have better talent/athletes behind them, but I trust the staff to know who's ready to play and who's not.

There have been some bright spots, but the current roster is really bad. Been saying it on here for a while.

As bad (or good) as our defensive secondary is (....I know most folks know this but I guess it needs repeating...) usually the back side defense is only as effective as the pressure and containment applied by the front side defense. Our secondary did struggle with structural tackling last game for sure. Hopefully we can get all cylinders aligned with pressure on the front and tight coverage on the back against UTSA cause they are a good football team. Don't freak out if we have a close game Saturday.

Goodness gracious! Some of y'all complain more than y'alls girlfriends or wives. Whine about everything, it's just one game and the SEC.

I'll say it when the DC starts putting them in a position to succeed consistently.

Already said it in an earlier post.

People can make a lot of excuses for Martinez or Banks but the proof is on the field. We’re three years in and most people would say there’s been no improvement on the field as far as performance. With the portal that’s just inexcusable at this point imo. We’ll roll the rest of the year with the same coaches but if there isn’t substantial improvement I would be replacing some coaches on that side of the ball.

to be fair, people aren't frustrated about "one game" it's two decades plus of embarassing performaces in the Swamp. Far be it from me to tell anyone to just relax....some people on here have spent a lot of time and a lot of money to see us get our heads kicked in by SEC elites for decades.

We've won 8 SEC titles post General Neyland.....one was shared, one was with 2 losses and 2 ties. In other words, back it when it was much easier.

Heck, South Carolina has been to the SEC title game more recently than we have.

a quarter century without even sniffing a conference championship makes some people a bit frustrated.
