When Pat decides to retire AD Hart should go after the absolute best coach out there. My top choice is Carolyn Peck. What do you think? Nikki is on the list as well as Kelli. What about the Ky. coach?

Wouldn't have a problem with any of the mentioned. All would be solid. Not a big fan of men coaching women though. So no to Mitch.

Carolyn Peck Seriously? I like Mullkey and Caldwell and you have to throw Holly and Mitchell in the disscussion as well.

My guess is that not even the best available coach is going to want to replace Summitt. IMO, Warlick is being groomed right now to take over and there will not even be a search.

If we are going for the best, wouldn't we go after Geno? :birgits_giggle: Could you imagine Vol fans trying to like Geno after years of hate!!!!

then prepare for lady vol basketball to hit the level of the men's sports recently. it will take years to get out of this mess.

I'm not saying its a good decision or a bad decision. However, it may be the only option. Who is going to want to follow her after one, her success, and two, her ill-fated fall from the top of her profession? No coach worthy of replacing her is going to want the pressure.

some young and upcoming coach would want it. just have to go looking for her (or him).

i think it is going to be Holly Warlicks team next year, hopefully with CPS at her side,if that is what CPS wants or is able to do,the Lady Vols will roll on,CPS has built a program that will continue to excel on it's own,i do believe that CHW will be a great coach,i just can't imagine what has went on with the team this year, but it is the Lady Vols, they will continue to set the standards high for women's basketball
we love you Coach Pat Summit

Too bad Hart wont have any say because we have a women's AD...
Funny how many people I've seen make this statement. Joan is retiring soon and is pretty much just doing "grip and grin" stuff now. Dave Hart will be making the hire since there will no longer be a seperate AD. Who knows when that will be. Carolyn Peck would not be on my first list of choices. Caldwell should be the number one target. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I think Caroline Peck would be one of the dumbest hires ever made here. Are you aware she was fired from her last job because of underperforming? Why would you want her, because she's on TV?

No thanks to Kelli either.

Caldwell would be an excellent hire, as would Mitchell.

Exactly. Anyone thinking Peck would be a good hire needs to look up what she did at Florida. Wasn't she like 9-22 her last season there? If im wrong, im not far off. I would be beyond pissed if she was even considered. Warlick would be a better choice, and I think she would also be a disaster hire.

Peck has been out of coaching since 2008. She was fired mid- year as Fla went 9-22 with a 14 game losing streak.

Terrible coach after leaving Purdue.
Nobody wants her.

That's where I would start. At least if winning is the goal.
