NSD is a little over a week away and I've heard we'll sign approximately 27 players for this years class.

That being said, who do you guys think we end up with in those final 8 slots? Do players like Smith, Jones and Ambles decide to recommit?

Do we get some surprises on NSD like Rogers or Torrian Wilson?

Just wondering who you guys think we realistically have a shot at.

Torrian Wilson committed elsewhere after he visited, so I don't really like the odds there. Signing day surprises happen all the time, so I think you can bank on one this year. Don't know how big the player will be though.

Specific players? No one knows yet. A top 10 class and something to build on and be proud of? Most definitely. V,B

Chaz no
Markeith no
Palardy yes
D. Smith yes

DaRick no
Nance no

I agree. I think we will also continue to see names we are not so familiar with. I am sure DD has a list of athletes that he could not have gotten at LA Tech although interested in playing for him. He will have a shot at those players now at UT. Although our previous staff was going after BIG names/athletes and had a stellar class built,I believe they left a lot of talent out there under the radar.

I beleive DD is much more in tuned with those under the radar that can be coached into great ball players.

We might snag a couple of surprises but I highly doubt it. I think he fills the class out with 3 satrs/depth.

Optimistic:

Rogers, Green, Stone, Nance, Bennett, Neal, D. Jones, Rivera, Cullen

Logical:

Stone, Bennett, Neal, Rivera, D. Jones, B. Jones, and a couple O lineman..

Our final class will probably be somewhat of a mix of these two predictions.. We may get shocked on Signing Day. I know Da'Rick is the second best WR (according to Rivals) and we would have to make room for him (and Nance), but once you do that, you really start running out of spots.. just kind of funny how none of us would suspect that we might run out of spots in this class with all thats gone on in the past 2 weeks..

does it? Can you turn it up for me so I can hear?

We will have a top 10 class, that's all I need to know.

We better be going hard after lineman! This is the target group:

C. Green
Robinson
Stone
Coleman
Cullen
Arie K.

If we don't get some lineman, we will be using undersized DE and LB on the line!!!

We're at 19/27 now.

I hear rumors of the Raijon brothers, and we need at least one RB. - 20

We obviously want both Rogers/Nance - 22

I think we get 2 others that are hopeful and lose one of our solids. (Better not be Palardy) - 23

I think we sit on 23/27 and either sign any OL talent we can scavenge, or keep 4 for next year's backcount list.
