They set up the first three weeks (plus Thurs/Fri schedules for the entire season) to optimize TV slots. After that, they’ll go week by week for Saturday games according to the pecking order agreement between the conferences and networks, so all game times will then be announced 12 days in advance, beginning Sept 11 for games being played on the 23rd, Sept 18 for games being played on the 30th, and so on.
CBS always picks first each week from the SEC games, with the exception of Florida-Georgia week - that one is already set for 3:30 on Oct 28.
If I’m not mistaken, a school can appear a maximum of three times a season on CBS. That being said, I expect our games with A&M, Bama, and Georgia to all be 3:30 CBS games. ESPN then picks from what’s left, with their first choice getting the 7pm slot and second typically going at noon. I expect our games with SC, Mizzou, and Vandy will kick at noon and the 10/28 game vs KY will kick at 7pm.
