No need -- the song is already a mockery - they use 2 made up words to rhyme with the state bird and throw in a Bammer at the end :no: :w00t:

What is sad is coming to UT's website asking for a song to sing since obviously you guys can't beat us enough to create your own. Back in 98, things were great , we beat the Tide........

Not sure I'd chalk the W up just yet.

I, for one, will be pulling for Bama this weekend. (That hurt to admit, but the circumstances dictate . . .)

Oh, if I were a Gator I'd lay the house down on a UF win. I recall reading a "We're Back!!!" thread on Tidefans.com after the 3 point Vandy win. Yeah, you're back alright. Back to mediocricy.

Darby looks lethargic, JPW stats are pumped up vs. basement dwelling teams and a loss to Arkansas. I can't wait to the 3rd Saturday... I almost wish I still lived in Bammer to watch the finger pointing and bammer homers calling for Shula to go after losing over and over.

Stranger things have happened. Florida will have a bad game this season. It is just a matter of when it shows up.

Its ironic that the fact that 'bama seems so weak this year is having an effect on this. Most Gator fans I talk to remember the licking we took last year, but they aren't mad at 'bama. To the contrary, the way we folded like a cheap tent in that game symbolized everything wrong with the program for the last 5 years -- no toughness. We like to think that has changed.

This year, we feel like UF is better than 'bama. I would venture to say that most 'bama fans expect that 'bama will lose this Saturday. And so if the teams hold true to form and Florida wins, I really think most Florida fans don't feel a need to rub it in. We've got other things on our mind.

But its the SEC. And its a traditionally strong team. And we need this win.

Go ye Mighty Gators!!

I know from the 1985 SugarVols DVD that had footage from the locker room after we beat Vandy to clinch the SEC, they sang the whole school of Vanderbilt instead of state.

Same goes for Auburn, or any other school that isn't a state, but things may have changed since Johnny left, but I doubt it.
