Where Are The Franklin Lovers Now?

I think the difference between Bobby Johnson and James Franklin is that Franklin seems to be slowly raising the profile of the university. That needs to translate to wins eventually but he understands how to talk to people - a lesson many SEC coaches could learn.

Franklin has also been pissing off his peers in the coaching community. That usually gets you blackballed. He better watch his P's and Q's because he'll be turned in with the slightest transgression.

So, in other words... Moral victory U
I might be bothered to care about that if he coached at Florida or Alabama, rather than Vanderbilt. Difficult to get worked up about a Vandy coach talking smack.

7-10 at Vandy isn't all that bad. And Vandy had close losses to Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Cincinnati, and us last year. Which is impressive when you consider their vastly weaker talent level. They are 1-3 this year, but they lost to three good teams (South Carolina, Georgia, and Northwestern).

Frankly, it's difficult for me to say much bad about him, when he has a program with vastly less resources and tradition than us, he's outrecruiting us, nearly beat us last year, and then took his team to a bowl game while we failed to qualify.

If the guy has two 6-6 seasons at Vandy in four years, he's a success.

Lol. A UK fan giving football advice on a Vol board. Pass

First of all it's not a vol thread, it's in the 'AA forum and the thread is about Vandy. What does me being a UK fan have to do with what I know about football? Just because my team sucks doesn't mean I know less than I otherwise would have known about football. Lastly I never gave any advice, just made an observation.

Your observations suck as much as your team does.

Don't want to turn this into a fire Dooley thread, we have enough of those, but if that last statement isn't a nail in the coffin for any argument of keeping him, I don't know what is.

No, it's not. Learn something about the way Tennessee historically recruits, then talk.
