Where did all of our transfers end up?

Had these two stuck around, man they would have had huge springs!
Scott would have been getting a lot of reps. Hendrix te same and would be in line to play DE and DT in certain packages without being worn out.. Shame...

It sucks to lose that type of talent.
Luckily we have Vickers stepping and Kamara being an EE.

Problem is they wanted huge falls. It wasn't going to happen. I'm still confused how people saw Hendrix as a great player. He had two tackles last year, but fans think he had this huge role. The other dufus couldn't handle the circle of life, which is the point of the drill, to see who is man enough to whip another man. I feel the drill served it's purpose. That player was not good enough to play in the SEC.

You may all be right about Peterman. What he does at Pitt will tell us a lot.

But I have 2 main reasons for wishing he had stayed.

1.) Every time he got into a game, it was either a very difficult situation (on the road against a dominant FL defense for his first college snap or 1 series against Bama) or a mop-up situation where he really didn't get much of an opportunity to run the offense. I would have liked to have seen him get an extended opportunity in a more favorable situation at least once.

2.) If Dobbs goes down this year, we will have to play a true freshman out of necessity. If Peterman were still here, maybe 1 or more of those freshmen would have been able to beat him out for the back-up job, but I would much rather they win the that role through competition than by default.

Obviously it's a moot point now, but that's just my opinion on the matter.

Peterman freaks when the lights come on. It doesn't matter the opponent. He doesn't do well. He is very slow in his progressions and movements. Too much thinking about doing everything perfectly. He just looks like a robot. I thought he was going to be really good coming out of HS but unfortunately watching a highlight vs seeing them in live big time college football is a lot different. He has the physical tools. If Chaney can do it with Crompton though he can probably do it with Peterman. They would limit Crompton to half the field and if it's not there get rid of it. You probably have to do same with Peterman

Vic Wharton is the one I really don't understand. Balled out in the bowl game and then wants out days later.

He was under the impression playing time would be handed out to him

I really appreciate all the work he did recruiting, but that sense of entitlement just doesn't fly. It's a privilege to don the Orange and White and that Power T. Work hard and earn it just like all the other greats.

I recall some mentioning that his family wasn't much help in preaching patience and that his time will come. They instigated much of it from my understanding.

He wasn't a slacker and worked hard but has this vision of himself that he is better than he really is. He is a kid that will be a solid productive Slot WR but he views himself as Mr. heisman build your offense around me. It's been mentioned in some HS coaching circles in his area that he felt they would feature Malone and Preston over him no matter what he did.

The guy changed schools a lot before getting here. I hope he finds what he is looking for in life though.

Yep but they are 18-19 years old and know it all.

Those were the two that irked me simply due to their decisions being so shortsighted. Especially Hendrix.

Oh well. You're only as strong as your weakest link and out weakest link is much stronger than it was three years ago.

I hope they all find what they're looking for and grow as players and as young men.

I think the incoming talent scared them away and if they are afraid to compete against elite talent we dont need them here.

Get the condescending BS out of here. This is a career and a life decision these players are making here. Why should a player sabotage his own prospects by choosing to remain buried in the depth chart? To please the fans who only care about jerking off about the depth they have?

Where did they all end up?

WR Jenkins - SoCal Juco
DT Sawyers -Juco after legal issues are cleared up
RB Scott - ECU
WR Wharton - Cal
TE Helm - Duke
DE/DT Hendrix -Pitt/Iowa St (hasn't decided officially)
DE/DT Miller - Limestone College in SC
CB Payne - Maryland
QB Peterman - Pitt
QB Ferguson - KS Juco
WR Bowles - UTC
LB King - UTC
RB Paulk - (still on campus last I read)

Sawyers will go Juco and hopefully grow up. It's a shame at the decisions this kid has made. I coached him at camp for 3 yrs and he has the tools but nothing seems to work inside his head right now.

Anyone know where Jason Carr is ending up? I know he was at Northeast Mississippi last year.

He might be going to jail. In any rate, I hope he gets his life in order.
