Where did I go wrong?

Sounds like you have some dysfunction in your family. Your story is similar to mine. Wife is a huge Lady Vols/Vols fan but is all over Tebow. Her brother graduated from UF's law school and I actually looked at her during one of the games this year and she was wearing a UF law school T shirt. She would vehemently argue with me as if she knew the guy.

Don't buy the jersey. He will flop in the NFL and write his bio which will reveal(confirm) what 99 percent of us already know. Your son will thank you.

my son is 8....He went through a phase earlier this year where he said Georgia was his favorite team.

So before UT/UGA game, I made him take all of his UT stuff out of his room. During the anal ravaging we gave UGA, I made fun of him the entire time.

Afterwards he said UT was his favorite team and that he was sorry. I took him to Neyland later in the year and that nonsense was put to rest.

Tough love.

I recommend taking him to every UT game you can afford and complete and total immersion into UT football.

Being a recently married man and wanting to start a family soon this is an absolute nightmare. I was born in Knoxville,(went and visited my delivery room and you can see Neyland from it:D), now live in FL with a wife from upstate NY who could care less about college football. There is nothing but anti-UT where I live. I am scared!

The wife asked about getting the boys UT and UF snuggies and I said hell no.

I'm beginning to wonder.

That was completely the appropriate response! Not even the most beautiful shade of orange can make one of those things okay. :eek:lol:
