Where Does UT Fall to in Polls

Depending on the poll, Tennessee will probably drop, but not too far.

Coach's Poll we will drop to 4. Michigan was only 17 votes behind us. Oklahoma was 5, and will drop. LSU was 6th and didn't play. I don't THINK LSU will move ahead of us considering we won.

AP Poll, we were 47 ahead of Michigan, so we might drop below them. We were 85 ahead of Idle LSU and 171 ahead of Ohio St. so I don't see us dropping any lower than 5th there.

WORST CASE SCENARIO:

Coach's- USC...Texas...Michigan...LSU...TN

AP- USC...Texas....Michigan....LSU...TN

LIO almost all those articles you are reading are the same article from the AP writer Elizabeth Davis that covers TN sports. Different newspapers and sites just rename the article.

We may drop as low as #5 or #6, but in the grand scheme of things, does it really matter? We take care of business on the field and the polls will take care of themselves.

I doubt we will drop that far... 4th if we don't stay. Michigan didn't look particularly strong in their season opener (better than us though). But I doubt we drop below 4th,

ill be stunned to drop more then 3. last year in the opener lsu beat oregon state 22-21- while oregon state missesd (not had blocked) missed three EXTRA POINTS. the thing though is they didnt drop a spot if i remember right. and believe me, htat was luckier then are win because the kicker, having already missed one with the score tied at 15-15 late, had the chance to win late, then in ot, down 22-21 missed the tie.

I don't think it makes a rat's arse about the polls at this point. We won and that's good. What does matter is what we do against Florida and LSU. If we don't take care of business against those 2 schools it won't make a hill of beans what happened yesterday...

Who really cares about the polls anyway? We beat Florida and we'll be media darlings.

We won't drop, why should we?  It's not like a team like LA Lafeyette(sp?) or something came in and played us tight....I'll be honest, I expected a blow out and didn't get what I thought I would....UAB played well enough to keep that game tight...You guys say we're overrated but maybe Phil didn't want to show ALL of his cards yesterday?  That may or may not have been the case....CUM sure didn't in Florida....UGA looked good from what I heard last night, I didn't get to see that game because I was at our local dirt track but I did get to see the 2nd half of the Auburn game....And you guys say we're over rated?  NO!  Auburn is VERY over rated.....They played like pure crap last night....They deserved to lose that game

But we won't drop...We'll stay the same and next week we'll have to pull for Ohio State to take out Texas for us and we'll hopefully get bumped to #2...Dunno how that will work out though....I don't think we will drop but who knows?

Thank you for pointing out the fact that UAB is not a pushover they have knocked off great teams in the past and have some talent.

Who cares what we fall to if we even do. But if we fall, we still have enough bigtime games to put us back up top.
