I think that was blue font implied.Absolutely no chance.
When he was an assistant at Iowa in the early 90s, he turned Illinois in on recruiting violations involving a player named Deon Thomas. The Fighting Illini would hire a convicted felon with a terrorist background to coach basketball before considering Pearl.
Or wind up at North Carolina when Roy Williams finally retires- Even if he keeps winning at Auburn, will he ever get the consistent national attention he craves, and one can argue that he deserves?
- He's stated that he loves the Southern culture, hard to see him going to UCLA, etc.
- Maybe he ends up at Louisville, huge, passionate fan base and would give him much more national attention. KY fans would hate this many reasons!
I think he was joking.Absolutely no chance.

If Okeke doesn’t get hurt I think Auburn would’ve won the title. Okeke was a matchup nightmare for most post players because he was so quick. Their quickness 1-5 is part of why they were a nightmare matchup for us that year. That and we didn’t defend the 3 ball well.He will be coaching anywhere he wants because his talents are in demand. That NCAA run was unbelievable, beats probably our best team ever in the SECT then, whips Kansas, UNC and UK to make the final 4. He did not win on talent but style of play and intensity. After taking 2 SEC teams from the cellar to the penthouse he can write his own ticket. NCAA violations could tarnish that situation but as of this moment he would be the first choice of any program needing total rebuilding who could afford him.
