Where is James Pearce Jr?

Exactly. For the past 13 years that I have been coming to VN, I have always thought that it is ridiculous for people to whine about just a name. I actually can't believe that it is still a thing for people to complain about.
I don't care one way or another, but why is it so hard to type "Where is James Pearce?" as opposed to just "James Pearce"? As previously stated, generally threads that just have the name have involved discipline, injury or entering the portal. The descriptive title will just let those cruising the thread titles to decide if they want to open it or not. The other two words can't possibly be that much more difficult to enter.

It came about because it was necessary. The same people that can’t follow the rule of not every thought deserves a thread are why. It seems petty but it’s way better than what happens otherwise.
That's funny. I try to counsel myself the same thing, but on posting. (Most times I'm a bad listener)

You're right, but what if the poster was unaware of the unwritten rule? Either way, if name only posts trigger anyone, don't they have the option to not click on it?

Essentially stress-driven clickbait for die hard UT fans in a UT forum.

Posted by people who are generally clueless.

Again, you continue to be the triggered one. You were simply asked to follow a standard practice. I do not understand why you simply don't get it. I helps to prevent confusion and literally takes 5 extra seconds. This does not speak well towards your awareness. You now know the standard, it is up to you to understand it. I am so sick of the use of the word "triggered", it does speak a lot about you.

Standard practice? According to whom? I haven't seen any board rules that state, "Do not post name-only titles". And with you being "so sick" of the word "triggered,". It indicates it has been used to describe you on multiple occasions. That doesn't surprise me.

Where is James Pearce Jr? He was all over the field in the first or second game. I haven't seen him since!
He's been all over the place. He's getting good pressure on QBs but he's running himself past his position on running plays, failing to set the edge several times against Florida.

I would start Pearce instead of Roman Harrison. Not sure why they don’t want the better pass rusher on the field. A sack on 1st down is just as valuable as a sack on 3rd down and right now, RG is just using him as a 3rd down pass rush specialist.

Not so. Here are his snap counts and PFF grades

Because he is often out of posistion on run plays.

A sack on 1st down doesnt help too much when it leaves a hole in the defense that gives up 8 yards a rush.

South Carolina is pretty one-dimensional and if we get to Rattler, we win. I'm willing to take a few mistakes in contain for the ability to get our best pass rushers on the field. Right now, Pearce and Baron are our best pass rushers. I would mix C. Herring and Josephs in on 3rd down, when Baron moves inside.
