Where is Nathan Leacock?

Even Huepel stated Hooker was much better game player than practice player. He stated that was the reason they started with Milton. However, after seeing him in the game he moved the offense and kept the drives going! He had a much better "pocket presence" than Milton. So even Huepel was surprised by Hooker!!
By no means am I saying practice is everything. It's not,but you have to show enough that you have earned the trust. I have no way of knowing if Nico has or hasn't. What I do know is when Milton got hurt, Hendon had game experience from VT.

His dropped bomb in this game was unbelievable. It just shouldn't be possible with today's gloves.
Not a glove issue… it’s a focus and confidence he needs some sport psychology to get his mind right and focused… Jacob Warren has the best hands on the team we should scheme more plays for him… Sampson also catches really smooth should get him a few more passes a game… squirrel is pretty sure handed and nimrod really impressed me last game.

This is over analyzing my statement. The ball was there, the guy was there, he had state of the art tech available to him and missed it. I understand the actual issue is that he didn't catch it clean.

I've seen Leacock 3x this year on sidelines and not in pads.

Looks like maybe a redshirt

Thornton isn’t gonna bull anyone. He’s charmin soft. He needs to be the deep threat over the top. He’s similar to Hyatt, neither like contact.
I said he has the size to bully CBs - he is actually bigger than Tillman. At 6’5” he should be able to make life difficult for the average CB. You may be right that he needs a more aggressive attitude.

As for Hyatt, he has a knack for creating separation either with speed or route running…something we are really missing this year.

You seem to be the only person to remember this.
He's not. I recall Keyton dropping catchable balls two years ago. Enough that I was pleasantly surprised when he made that ridiculous catch last year.

I like the guy, but I don't think he has the hands to routinely grab difficult balls. Not the way we've see from Tllman/Calloway/Jennings caliber wideouts.

2 years ago? How many drops after the Florida game? I genuinely don't remember any more than anyone else.

Hyatt was great last year, his ability to get separation and go get deep balls really made the offense lethal.

Good question. Keyton needs to be benched. I don’t think continuing to baby him is going to do him any good. Maybe if he was benched he’d get a little pissed off and have some extra focus next time he’s catching passes from the juggs machine. It’s not like we don’t have other options - Spillman, Webb, Leacock are viable options. Dee Williams will be an option soon. And what about Cam Seldon? Wasn’t he recruited as an ATH @Plove23 ?
It’s the ball tracking issue that concerns me the most. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a WR misjudge deep balls more than Keyton. That isn’t something that can be fixed. You either have that ability or you don’t. And it’s not just this year. He should’ve had a TD against Missouri last year on which Hooker threw a perfect ball, but he slowed down before realizing he needed to speed up and it went over his head.

Combine that with the drops and I don’t see things getting better for him. Thornton or Webb need to step into his spot.

Those gloves are like glue. I don’t see how anyone could drop a ball once it hits their hands.
Well the drop on the would-be TD Saturday hit him in the forearms. You have to judge the ball well enough to catch it with your hands before it will stick to them.
