Where is the best place to go Saturday night after the game?

Am bringing a couple of Bammers with me to the slaughter house, I mean Ballgame, and they want to go out saturday night after the game. Not Knowing that much other than game day stuff, will you guys give me some suggestions??

I would appreciate it!!
Living in Birmingham, AL This is like the week of Christmas. Can't sleep, and this is the only thing I can talk about!!!! When I chest bump Trooper at Vol Walk I may knock him down, God I love this Game!!!!!!! Go Get EM VOLS!!!!!!!!!

dude just walk around campus im sure youll find parties (well depending on how old you are) i havent been in knoxville for football season at all this year(first time in like 7 or 8 years, have been going their since freshman year of high school) but dude with the way our fans are im sure youll meet someone and they can give ya an idea........you prob might want to ditch your bama friends, that wont go over too well at any bars in knoxville

yeah I figured there will be plenty going on, just wondered if there were any places better than others. Has been about two years since we went out in Knox-Vegas. Is the first time My Fiance has went to a game with me, so just wanted to make the most of it!!

You can take your bammer friends up to the Gay Street Bridge.Im sure they will need something very high to jump off of.

The night before the game Calhouns on the River is packed with fans of both sides. Just up from that is a pricey place called Riverside Tavern. Downtown has some good spots-The Downtown Grill has some great microbrews and good food. Happy Hour=2$ pints or head over to the Market sqaure and check out the Pub or Ooldes noodle and wine bar. For a small dive feel head down Kingston pike to a small liquor store called Toddies. Go around back and upstairs to the Backdoor Tavern. Very much and all vol place here. The strip has a few spots and is mostly college aged. Unfortunaltely it is mostly commercial spots now. Hope that gets you started.

I spend way too much money at Buffalo Wild Wings..it's my bar of choice b/c of the cheap beer and sports on all the tv's.

1. Leave Stadium.
2. Taunt some bama fans.
3. Walk to strip.
4. Taunt more bama fans.
5. Pick a restaurant/bar.
6. Taunt a few more bama fans.
7. Have a blast.

Downtown grill and brewery on Gay st. is a good place...and while the strip isn't what it used to be....i'm sure just walking around cumberland ave. you'll be able to find an establishment that tickles your fancy...
take the bama fans to the longbranch and drop them off....

I hate the Downtown Grill and Brewery. Went there for my girlfriends birthday. They spilt my tea in my lap and then tried to charge me for my meal.

I would argue that. I think of Knoxville as one of the most hospitable SEC towns. Most of us treat our rivals with respect and look forward to their visits.

For those who like to complain about the way we're treated on the road -- lead by example.

that sux...but i will say they've never spilt a beer of mine....

Downtown is a good place to go to have drinks..

BWW's is a good place to get drunk, then go to Charlie Pepper's for pitchers of PBR, then when it closes go to Longbranch because they're open til 3am and have cheap beer...like Schlitz, heh.

Anywhere as long as we win.If we lose I'd be careful not to go where any bunch of UT frat boys party at after the games, I've heard a few horror stories to be honest.

Isn't there a country bar called Cotton Eyed Joes, I went there after a game a few years ago we had a blast.

I would point you towards downtown and Market Square. If you stay on the strip, you can either go to Charlie Peppers or Cool Beans...the rest of the bars on the strip are pretty weak.

I know...and that so wasn't the case in the past...it's really sad what's happened to the strip.

From what I have heard and witnessed, whole in the wall bars can't survive on the strip anymore due to the ever increasing rent and the increase in underage busts since UT was named #1 party school in 2001-02.
