I challenge anyone to tell me what, exactly, bama did better than us?

What was Heupel to do after each play should’ve been a first down and it was taken away? Punt it away and have each stop be flagged for 5 and a first?

The 2nd 4th down call wouldn’t have mattered if Lally wasn’t called for Def Holding. Bama made 1 play which was the strip sack that allowed them to win. You are all so battered you won’t call a spade a spade and it’s pathetic.

We finally have a real coach and instead of blaming the league because you think it’s impossible to be broken, you would rather blame the coach for a position no one could win in. Every first down we made in the 2nd half was reviewed and progress stopped, every stop was flagged.

If they kept getting free opportunities due to the stripes, no call was going to matter. If you have BVS, please just find another team because the rest of us would like to move forward and eliminate the BS from the league.

Forcing a Milton fumble, recovering it, etc.

Successfully tracking down the Ca$hApp accounts of the officiating crew.

Slipping some bad peyote or LSD into the locker room water fountains at halftime so the Vols players and staff got the fear in the 2nd half.

Yes, I'm several beers in to my afternoon. Cheers!

As compared to some of the coaches we have had for the last several years I just want the world to know that I thank God for Josh Heupel . An no his offense is not a gimmick offense ,but it is an azz whipping offense when we get a quarterback that is of the caliber of Hendon Hooker. Look at Heupels record it speaks for itself. Keep you chin up coach the majority of real fans are behind you and appreciate you for taking a somewhat questionable group of players when you came in to making us more proud than we have been in years. Don't pay much attention to those of us that are sick and tired of being beaten by Alabubba. It has been many years and we thank you for beating them last year. That alone was a great accomplishment regardless of what some fans think. And yes, I think we can beat Georgia at home !

The key item that stood out to me was Alabama's offense adjusted to match our blitz/pressure and had some good plays to counter it that they were not running in first half.

We ran the ball on multiple possessions when we were 3rd down and long. If you run the ball 3 times when it's 3rd and 19 you are not trying to win the game.

aka allowed to choke hold d-lineman so a TD can be thrown, hold 3 players on a QB TD run, hold UT receivers, give UT poor spots on 3rd downs… yup Bama adjusted well

Alabama held better...

Does the missed holding call excuse the blown coverage? Its cathartic to blame everything on blown calls but the truth here is, the pass would have been completed with or without the hold. The infraction literally had no effect on the outcome of the play.

Yes, it should have been called. But the receiver should have been covered.

The DE would have likely made it to the qb before the throw. Call the hold that clearly occurred and the play is meaningless

The DE had no chance of getting to Milroe. The ball was out. I guess the safety saw the hold occur and just assumed he didn’t have to cover the Bama wideout?

You’re right but the only ones blaming our coaches are idiots and arguing with idiots is pointless!

Correct!

Rewatch the video clip, because the ball wasn't out until #9 was choked and hauled behind and past the QB by #65.
Had that not occurred, it's likely he would have had nearly a straight shot at the QB.

Not true. He had a chance to affect the play if he wasn't clearly held. A hold that would make the throw meaningless if properly called. Holding does not rely on whether a play could be made or not

They scored 27 more points than the Vols in the second half. Seems to be a key data point in the proceedings yesterday.

Yes....the officiating was horrible but McClellen ran for 100 yards after the half and the WRs were locked down after half time.

Saban and company adjusted at the half and Huepel and his guys had no answers.

I’ve watched it numerous times. I just didn’t have my orange colored glasses on.

See here we go with the "but buts" in defense of holding.

The DE was held. Discussion over. It was a penalty but it wasn't called. The holding helped keep the DE away from the QB. Either way it was a hold and the play should not have counted. Everyone knows it but Bama fans.
