Where were you when...?

Keep telling yourself that.
We have to keep telling ourselves that considering how many coaches y'all go through. I remeber "Oh, we got mike price, you guys are toast" "We got Mike Dubose, he's going to lead us to the promise land" "We got Mike Shula, all he knows how to do is win"

"We got Mike Shula, all he knows how to do is win"

All Saban knows how to do is lie to his team and his fanbase and use them to get something better.

Keep telling yourself that.

Let me ask you this. Say 3 years from now you haven't sniffed a NC (which is likely btw since even the best coaches with the best talent regurally don't get to the NC game) and saban is starting to feel the heat. What makes you think he wont bolt to the NFL or another college job? This is what he does. Why are you any different?

It is a life changing experience. Crimson Tide college football is a big part of my life. Just as Big Orange athletics are a big part of your life or you wouldn't be on here. Did Tennessee's '98 National Championship change your life for the better? I would say it did.

UT winning or losing has no effect on my quality of life for longer than a day or 2. If it does then you have issues.

You do realize that football is just a game, right?

While I was obviously very, very happy that the football team representing the university from which I graduated finished its 1998 season undefeated, it obviously did not change my own life in any meaningful way. I still had to go to work the next morning. Bills were still due. Traffic wasn't any better. My wife was suddenly no more beautiful or more compliant. The only tangible change in my life was probably that I bought some more t-shirts than I would've otherwise.

If you are expecting the experience of watching other people play football -- even if they do it really, really well -- to change your life for the better, then there may be some other things you ought to be doing with your time.

yeah i agree...it would be different if we were on the team.....but we're just watching for entertainment. If tennessee wins then "yay!!!!!"...if they lose i might be down for an hour or so but thats about it....

basically, if u let a team (Which u are not part of) decide what your life turns out to be...then go jump off a cliff

Where were you when Saban was confirmed as new coach at Alabama ? - TideFans.com

I usually don't paste things said on other boards, but I nearly fell out of my chair when I read this thread title. It's like putting this on par with "Where were you on 9/11 or when JFK was shot" The man hasn't coached a game and it's already an earth-shattering experience for them.

That's pretty damn funny. And pathetic I might add! :lolabove: :post-4-1090547912: :jpshakehead:

I guess these are the significant moments in Bama football history now. Not where were you when we won the National Title.

Judging from the depth of their posts, most on tidefans were not alive the last time UAT won a NC.

i feel like it should be part of a thread that a tide fans writes after they won the SEC, just like this:

"Our dear tide brothers and sisters, it has been three days since we won our last SEC title. What a tremendous job Coach Saban did. let us recall what did you do when you hear CNS became our new coach???"

Boy, give me a break. Take your time to j**k off in front off your coach before he gets his ass kicked next season. And all I can tell you is that Bama will not come to the 1st in SEC in next 50 year.

oh man , this thread is so funny :post-4-1090547912:
