Where Would You Like to See Peyton End Up?

^Bandwagoner IMO JMO IYAM

Its the NFL, some follow players some follow teams. Not bad either way. Much different in College as, until recently, we knew very little about players until they got on campus, their certainly is no trading or free agency to contend with so you pretty much "dance with who brung ya" in the college game. jmho

Come on, Peyton, retire a legend or you'll end up like Montana at KC

I saw an interview with Archie, and he was specifically asked if Peyton could co-exist with Andrew Luck. He made no bones about it. It wouldn't be fair to either player. He strongly suggested that if the Colts draft Luck, they should trade Manning.

If Manning goes to another team, that team will instantly become my favorite team, so I'm following this story closely. What are some of the possibilities? The Bears? The Titans? It's hard to imagine PM playing anywhere else.

Archie came out yesterday really backed of this statement, however I really believe his initial statement. Peyton and Luck will not be on the Colts next season together, it will be one or the other but not both.

It would be pretty ironic if he went to the Skins, which would likely make my wife pull for the Skins (yeah, she is one of those bandwagon Colts people).

Now if he did come to the Cowboys, my wife and MIL would go nuts.

If I were him, I would probably just go into broadcasting.

Trent Dilfer just said he thinks Indy is trading the pick.

Herman Edwards said Manning gets traded to Denver. He wasn't making much sense.

Steve Young didn't seem to think Manning was going anywhere.

Don't think he will play again. If he does, and I'm Rex Ryan....I'm already working a deal.

I just don't see how you can trade Peyton in favor of a guy who may or may not pan out, even if he is supposedly the next great can't miss QB. You don't get rid of a hall of famer for an unknown commodity. They need help in a lot of places, and trading that pick could help them significantly with that. It turns out that Peyton may have been covering up some of their flaws, at least for the last couple of years.

Makes most sense to send him to the Redskins. Washington has been in need of a QB for a long time.

However, I think they keep Manning and draft Luck. I know most have said they wouldn't be happy with it but I think they'll get along for a few seasons. I think Manning plays 1-2 more years then retires/traded. It's really a win-win for the Colts. They either keep the best QB in the league and draft potentially his replacement...or they trade the pick or trade Manning. Whatever the situation is their QB position will be fine for at least 1-2 more years or much more and potentially could get an elite star in another position.

I sure hope you are right but I don't see it playing out that way.

The reason they trade or cut Peyton is he is coming off of 3 major neck surgeries is less that 1 year, he is 36 years old and he is due $28 mil in early March. You can't keep an old player just because you are scared a certain draft pick won't pan out.

I'd like to see Peyton go to the Skins. I almost always agree in trading the first pick, because I think odds are you get get more production in return than you will most likely ever get from that pick. BUT I think Luck is an exception. I don't know the details of Peyton's situation, or how many years he has left - which is a HUGE factor.

On the 5 Good Minutes segment of PTI, Bob Kravitz (Indianapolis Star) laid down a pretty convincing argument that the Colts will likely release Manning. He played the guessing game as to where Manning will go. Where would you like to see him?

I like: Dallas, Tennessee, or Houston. What say ye?

You all have Locker and Hasselbeck. You are set at that position :birgits_giggle:

I think the fingers crossed was meaning he hopes Indy keeps Peyton, and their management choices continue to **** over their chances of long-term success, by passing on Luck when they have the chance.

This is what I'm hoping for, too.
