Looks like the La Quinta across the street from Nissan Stadium is full and the Comfort Inn beside it has awful reviews... Thinking about venturing over across the river to a nicer hotel that's still in walking distance. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions since I've not spent a whole lot of time in Nashville.

You might be able to find an airbnb or vrbo for cheaper but you'll probably be over near Vandy instead of next to the stadium. When we stay up there that's what we do and it's not too outrageous but it's also not for a football weekend...

VRBO/AirBnB is the way to go. You'll be lucky to find a hotel room for less than $500 a night atp

Another option is to stay nearby and Uber/Lyft. That's what we did when we went up a couple months ago. Ended up <$50 total and we split it 4 ways

I would host a Vols family coming in from out of town at our home in Lebanon (we have plenty of space now that the girls are all grown), but we're off on a trip to North Carolina that very day.

I'll be watching the game on my phone while my wife drives, heh.

Best wishes to all coming in to town for the weekend; hope you have a blast in every aspect!

Go Vols!

A REAL VFL would just post the address and leave a key under the mat...

Unfortunately can’t make it go Nashville for the game. Will be watching with the Denver Vols alumni group at Jackson’s across from Coors Field.
Last year we had some games with over 200 fans, so hopefully we can keep it up this year.

It'll be "wake and bake" for y'all at 10am...

There's VFL, there's magnaminous VFL, and then there's dumb-ass stupid. Heh.

I'd come home a week later to find 5 families holed up in various corners of the house, all refusing to leave, holding on till the 7 years pass and they can claim the property as their own under squatter's rights law.

And those are the people here that I like!

Go Vols!

Staying in Florida. Already got a room here on the beach and a great view from my recliner. Plus, won't have to sneak in any Jim Beam to my living room plus, no lines in my restroom!!

If I go, I will stay at my sister‘s house. Now if they would agree to run the train downtown on Saturday like they sometimes do for Titans games, I could save on parking too

Just a suggestion - recently stayed at a courtyard in Murfreesboro for a concert at Nissan- large number of hotels in same complex off of medical center drive - takes about 30 minutes to drive in to downtown and you can pre- reserve parking for not a fortune. Definitely recommend this option. We liked this much better than staying in downtown.
Now, if you’re gonna be drinking obviously this won’t work- Uber is a fortune and may take hours after game to even get one

we will be driving in 1 hour for the game. Just stay in the Vandy area and Uber/Lyft to Broadway and 1st street and take the pedestrian bridge across to Nissan Stadium. We plan to park downtown and walk across the bridge ourselves.

The Dream Hotel had a bonus point special due to Hyatt's acquisition of the chain so I went with that; never stayed at one before, but it seems nice enough. Definitely prefer Printers Alley/downtown over midtown any day of the week.

I’ll be at the Tent City by the river - east side. Good fishing and beer stays cool off a string in the river. The neighbors smell worse than me so it’s not too bad. If you come by I’ll be on the WGWTFA!! tarp.

Bring soap please. Or Lysol.

If you stay in a high rise hotel downtown, get a low floor. The threat of street noise may make this seem counterintuitive but the last thing you wanna do is spend half an hour or more waiting for an elevator with a bunch of stinky drunks who have full bladders.
