True.

but didnt both Riggs and Foster play against Bama and wasnt Foster more effective?

yes, but there are some games running backs just dont have it going and the back-up does. I remember some games caddy would blow but then brown would get the ball and be an absolute monster.. Maybe just a bad day. I blame it all on the recivers for him not being drafted..

Stand by what you will, like I said I wasn't saying Foster was not a good back. I was only rebutting what was said that Riggs had a poor season...and had he not been injured he would have been drafted. Gerald was a quality back and so is Foster and his time will come.

IMO Foster will be a better back then Riggs. Riggs was disappointing his senior year. He was playing ok before he got hurt, but IMO he was not having an ALL-SEC year like was expected.

I wonder if the scouts were watching the LSU game??? Riggs has the tools to be a decent back. IMO he looked better than Cedric Houston in 2004, and Cedric made the Jets squad, and even got quite a bit of playing time in his rookie campaign. I think whoever signs Riggs to a FA got a heck of a deal, and that Gerald was much better than any of the RB's taken in the last 3 rounds.

Gerald's problem was he could only run north-south, and he didn't seem exceptional enough at that to do it at the NFL level. I've heard him referred to as the poor man's Jamal Lewis.

Riggs did great on the college level, but his skills just don't translate well to the league. In the NFL, you HAVE to be able to cutback and hit the corner. Riggs just can't do that very well. It happens.

Not as close to the family as I am and I can tell you that is "BS"

I was told by three people it came from Mama Riggs' mouth. These are people I trust. SO either Mama Riggs was lying or she was joking in a serious manner. Someone else posted a similar comment on here a few months ago.

Did “Mama Riggs" tell you? If not then I believe I would not be posting it. I happen to know her and his dad and Gerald. So I think you should now go back to your source and tell them what a fool it has made you look like.

JMO but Riggs has been overrated and hyped his whole career. Just because of his name(see Micheal Munoz). Riggs was good in HS but couldn't hold the Barber kid from Cleveland HS jock at the time!

Most of his career at UTK he was in and out of trouble for not attending class? Does that sound like a guy "only interested in getting a degree" to you?

Other than ND he (Foster) had UK and Vandy and SC as the games. I'm not saying Foster isn't a good back I am just saying Gerald would have been drafted had he not been injured.

Foster 11 Games 183 carries for 916 yards, with a 4.6 avg.
Riggs 6 games 127 carries 556 with a 4.2 avg.

Still, if her were to get as many carries as Foster with his average, he would have ended up w/ 791 yards. Sorry, but Riggs is an average back at best with good speed. Smokes too much weed.
