Where's The Offense?

Yeah having CP returning kicks would have been horrible, and Hunter catching passes? Do not want!

CP was better off going pro as he was on the verge of getting suspended for academics anyway. He pretty much wasn't even going to class.

Hunter had an excellent first year at UT and was fun to watch. He was mostly non-existent in game play after returning from rehab from his ACL surgery. Psychologically he wasn't all there. I blame that on Dooley because he wasn't coaching anything but his hairdo.

Dude he just asked where the offense was, I told him. Hunter did have 70+ catches, 1000+ yds and 9 tds, that's some pretty awesome mostly non-existence btw.

His question was rhetorical.

He made a thread about a rhetorical question? So he wanted no answers even though he asked 5 other questions regarding the offense in his original post? Thats logical. My answer was a joke, but the question was in no way rhetorical.

Oh and he responded to a couple of people that answered his rhetorical question. OP is confused on how his rhetorical question works.

Go sit in the corner BJ. :) If you can't read through the lines of his OP then I can't help you.

Can we for one second put this in perspective....we lost patterson, hunter, and bray. They made up almost all our points on the offense last season. Behind them was no experience or pt time. So our offense is in the NFL. Our new players though have great potential, and will put up points next year. We can't expect to go in against the top 8 teams in the nation having lost our offensive scorers and put up big numbers with freshman and first time players. It's unrealistic. Yet, these players did something the above didn't!! Beat a ranked sec east rival. A game that mattered.

Vandy doesn't have near the talent we have. They do have some players with more experience in a system, but that's it. If we lose this game, it will be due to coaching and lack of effort.

I fully expect us to win. A loss would be unacceptable at this point.

But seriously, We should be able to hold their offense in check for the most part, which should help our own. We may be last in the SEC in run defense, but they're last in rushing offense. It's already playing out in our favor.

I, don't think we have held anyone's offense in check , outside of AP. Heck , USA and WK had 400 yds of offense against us and if WK doesn't turn it over 7 times they probably would have had 500. I just hope we outscore Vandy anyway possible . I would settle for a 3-2 score right now.

I agree with the original poster. How will UT score points? UT averages 17 points a game (11 total Td's) in SEC play, while Vanderbilt averages 28 (25 total Td's). I would say UT is better at O-Line, RB and Punter. The other positions are either even or in Vanderbilt's favor. Getting WR2 Jonathan Krause back will be big if he is healthy. ACS was averaging over 280 yards a game passing, therefore the RB numbers are probably a little lower then they would be if Vanderbilt was more balanced early in the year. TN averages 20 more yards per game rushing with 13 less TD's. I don't think Tennessee is really running over anyone. I expect a close game with first team to 24 wins.

You didn't play bama or auburn either. Texas AM defense is worse than anyones in the SEC.

I wonder why some of you watch the games. Why not just wait until we win and then watch the replay? You'll be much happier people.

it blows. but its not as bad at A&Ms go look it up. its not like Vandys offense is Bama, Mizzou, and AU.its about mathcups and for once UT matches up.

Biggest concern I have about vaginabilt is that they're very opportunistic. They don't have to put up any significant stats to win. The scored 34 Pts vs Florida while their offense amassed a whopping 180 yds or so. They have averaged getting 4 turnovers per game the last 4 games.... 16 turnovers in 4 games. We'd better take care of the ball and finish drives or they'll beat us.
