I was looking through the remaining bowls and noticed that with only one exception I had a clear favorite I would prefer to see win. My game where I wish both could lose is OSU and Notre Dame, what's y'all's?
When the Fiesta Bowl was announced my wife said your worst fear, who will you root for? I said the meteor.
Her family is Catholic and they all pull for ND after their respective alma maters. For that reason, BK being an ass and the media's love for them is why I despise ND. I don't pull for Baptist schools, such as Baylor, simply because I'm Baptist so I've never understood why Catholics feel like they have to root for ND.
Why in the world? I mean... how does that make any sense from the standpoint of a fan of an SEC team?
TCU was once located in Waco, along with Baylor, until their campus "mysteriously" burned to the ground :whistling: TCU and Baylor have one of the closest and most "heated" rivalries in college football with a series record of 57-57-2.Christian Church (aka Disciples of Christ) I believe.

It makes perfect sense. I mean Alabama, Florida, and Georgia are all our sworn enemies. I can't comprehend why any Vol fan would ever pull for those teams. I wish it was possible for them to all go 0-12 every year.
So you want our conference to be the laughing stock of college football, essentially?
That's all good and fun until your strength of schedule is so weak that an undefeated season still doesn't get you a shot at the national championship.
After Louisville beat A&M tonight, the crowd was chanting "ACC!! ACC!!" Go ahead and chant with them if you want to, maybe you can even have a few beers with them and dream of a day where the ACC rules college football and the SEC is the least respected conference in the NCAA.
Since that would totally be beneficial to UT
I've never really thought about what the players think of the league pride. Then at halftime of the Holiday Bowl they did a Cotton Bowl preview and Jonathan Allen of Bama said, "the SEC has to win it. Doesn't matter who it is playing in the playoff, the SEC has to win it." I thought that was an interesting take. Had to rewind to make sure I heard him correctly.
