Which bowl game are you most torn about?

I heard that too. I like that mentality. I hate our rivals as much as anyone, but our status as a relevant team is lost if our adversaries lose.

I want to beat them. I don't care if they beat someone else.

Now with that said, I hope Clemson or OU beats Bama in the Championship game. Last thing I need to hear is a Bammer trying to count past 10 or 25 or however many championships they claim to have.

I'd like to see MSU win it. My employer is based out of Lansing and most of our office personnel are MSU alums (and non-sports fans) so I've taken a liking to them over the last few years cause my co-workers are too nonchalant to be obnoxious about it.

My boss is an OU alum and I had an awesome time with their fans in Norman and Knoxville but the arrogance of Stoops and his infatuational hate for the SEC is annoying.

Spent a year of grad school at Clemson before transferring and their fanbase has the biggest little brother syndrome to the SEC you've ever seen. They fancied themselves by saying we're an SEC team without being in the SEC, whatever the hell that means.

Bama winning needs no explanation.

So MSU by default.

I just don't like the idea of an SEC team being bounced from the playoffs Round 1 two years in a row.

So you want our conference to be the laughing stock of college football, essentially?

That's all good and fun until your strength of schedule is so weak that an undefeated season still doesn't get you a shot at the national championship.

After Louisville beat A&M tonight, the crowd was chanting "ACC!! ACC!!" Go ahead and chant with them if you want to, maybe you can even have a few beers with them and dream of a day where the ACC rules college football and the SEC is the least respected conference in the NCAA.

Since that would totally be beneficial to UT

The perception of a weak conference hasn't kept the Big 10 champ out of the playoff and it wouldn't keep the SEC champ out either. Go ahead and cheer for Alabama if it makes you feel good. I won't be with you.

The Big 10 is weak, but it's not "every team lost every game they played" weak. That's what you said you want, and that would absolutely be enough for the conference winner to be left out.

So just to be clear, you wish our conference was so weak that going undefeated still wouldn't get Tennessee in the playoffs?

That'll never happen to any P5 conference...unless there's 5 undefeated P5 conference champs, which is very unlikely to happen considering there was only 1 this year.

That doesn't answer my question.

Edit: I see you weren't the one I originally asked. Nevermind.

I'm pro-SEC come bowl season. Bama is in the mix every year, whether or not they win it means very little in ruining their dynasty. Their missteps need to arise in the regular season so they fail to make it. Once they're there, I'd assume see them win over OSU, ND, OU etc.
