Which player will be drafted higher? Bennet or Hooker?

Lol. Levis isn’t getting anywhere near the hype that Andrew Luck or Trevor Lawrence did.
Goodness, I can remember when they anointed Luck king of football before he’d played a down in the NFL. They acted like he was going to walk in and immediately be prime Peyton from day one.

I'm not gonna buy that combo meal. Hooker is ****ing great QB that deserves a shot.
Not necessarily my opinion. Just what I think NFL GMs will consider.

I have an emotional attachment to Hooker. He is a great guy and representative of the program, his family, his faith, and himself. I'm rooting for him. The NFL doesn't care as much about that stuff.

he' also happens to be a damned good QB with a chance to make it in the nfl, imo.

Hooker and Bennett both have age working against them. As far as physical skills and raw ability, it's Hooker and it's not close. However, Hooker's injury is going to be an issue. It's hard to justify a high draft pick on a guy that likely will not see the field until he's 26 years old, at the earliest.

That said, I still think Hooker goes ahead of Bennett by a round or two.
Both will be way behind B. Young.
We Vol fans blow up for Hooker not being final 4 for hypeman.
Last year's winner not even invited either?
As much as we all hate everything crimson, were I picking a team from all 2022 players, Young would be QB. Tremendous talent, hope he has a long healthy career in the league.

Hooker is a 2nd round maybe worst-case 3rd round pick... Bennet going third round is best case for him. The one wildcard that applies to them both is age. The Weinke Effect.

Kind of what I have been seeing too.

3rd rd is probably generous for Bennett.

Seen both getting dinged for the age and Hooker because of how Heupels offense transfers to the NFL.

Which, given, how putrid most of these offenses in the NFL looked this season, they should be trying something different on offense.

Stupid thread. We should instead be talking about the all-everything first rounder from Kentucky instead. Mr. Mayonnaise himself.

NFL Scouts say that not since a young Ryan Leaf has a prospect had as good a mix of arm strength and confidence in the pocket when throwing a beautiful spiral 50 yards downfield to an awaiting safety.

The mental nuance and understanding of defenses hasn't been seen at the level Levis displays since Leaf either.

If he didn't play for Alabama, I would like Young a lot and think he is an amazing player.

That being said, I think him going number 1 might be a stretch due to his stature.

Some of these GMs have to start looking around the league at these smaller QBs and getting nervous. Wilson, Murray, Tua, Jackson are 4 off the top of my head that have missed time.

Think Young could go #1 but I would be heistiant if I were a GM.

his resume will cancel out their worries unless he measures under 5'10"

Still waiting to see elite, white guy, Jake Fromm win multiple Super Bowls.

However, he is terrible when facing a better team.

Seriously, do you even watch college football? Check Bennett's stats in the 4 playoff games he played and tell me again how he is terrible vs better teams. The reason the guy is a story at all is due to his performances on the biggest stages.

Hooker reminds me of Dobbs but with better accuracy. I could see him having that kind of career. Being in the league for several seasons as a backup. Hopefully hanging in there long enough for pension. Making a big chunk of money over that time. Hope he gets his chance.

Given that I have been waiting/hoping for two years for Bennett to fall flat on his face to no avail:

Bennett will be the next Timmy Tebow in NFL.

Tough to say with one being on crutches and the other having the body of a 16 year old.

Someone takes a shot with Hooker late, Bennett gets a tryout as an UFA. If my choice is between Stetson Bennett and some no name lineman from the Midwest, I'm taking the lineman, the odds are better.

Saw a mock draft from CBS or one of those and Fla's ARichardson was going 10th to Carolina......WTF
I know the NFL drafts based on potential but man, AR didn't do squat....

Doug Flutie was better than SB and he didn't make it in the NFL. Neither will SB. Maybe SB goes to Canada?
