It's tough to say considering bitters are inherently herbaceous and floral.

It's tough to say considering bitters are inherently herbaceous and floral.

So far, my favorite "bitters" is the batch i made myself. In some "Diesel" ethanol spirits (like Everclear), i soaked some grated grapefruit zest, some yarrow and or vervain for bitterness, pieces of dark red beet for coloration, for about a week. Then i reduced that down in the microwave, driving off some of the water content prior to alcohol loss. It was damn good.

Red wine for brunch, end of work-day porter or stout, tot of scotch before bed-time. Am looking closely at it.

Really like the Weller Antique 107 I opened a couple of days ago. Not very impressed with the Weller Special Reserve.

Actually drinking less because I am working my ass off.

Except for Sunday’s, my coffee leads immediately to mimosas then on to gin with wine to follow.

Just curious, when’s the last time anyone has seen this? It was released only in Kentucky and I thought for the price it was pretty decent

Lately, three fingers. We have very good friends across the street. Last week or so, two or three times a week, we all walk out to the road for "Liquor in the middle." The ladies got a hoot out of the name we gave it.

I’ve been looking for a bottle of that, but no luck yet.

Red Dog in Cool Springs has a store pick single malt from RUA out of NC that was aged 21 months in port barrels that is fantastic.
