Has anybody tried the new Jack Daniels Single Malt Oloroso Sherry Cask finish? The only place that I have seen it is in duty free shops. It seems quite a departure for them.

Seems it comes in full 1 liter bottles. Master of Malt has it online for $135.

What they don't tell you about all this overpriced whiskey is that after 2 doubles, you don't taste the money anymore.

There's a wide range of whiskey, whisky, and bourbon under $40 that can sit at just about any table and hold their own. Same with wines under $15-20.

Bourbon all the way! Woodford Reserve Double Oak is my poison, but Basil Hayden is a cheaper option I’m becoming fond of.

It’s where the agave grows. The highlands agave in Jalisco tends to be more agave and citrus forward (sweeter) where the lowlands agave is more peppery and earthy

I can never remember the name, but I know the bottle by sight when I buy it. My go to Tequila, which I don't often buy, is in the $20 range but actually quite sippable on it's own. I'll have to stop by and take a pic of the bottle. One of the store employees that drinks mostly tequila showed it to me. I'll follow up later.

My poison is a good bourbon. Woodford Reserve Double Oak and Knob Creek Maple were recent donations by Santa. Wife nabbed me this one upon recommendation by the store clerk and it’s more reasonable priced than my favorites, but right up there with them.

Arette is my favorite budget but it pushes $30. Zarpado is a nice one at $25. I’ll be interested to see what that $20 one of yours is!
