Also, I don't agree with the practice. I just want to make sure we're talking about the right thing. The thread title makes it sound as if the White House has direct access to post deletion.

That's exactly what Jen Psaki said on video. Which essentially makes facebook now an agency of the gov. Which means that any speech censored is a direct violation of the 1st amendment.

No, her exact words were "We're flagging problematic posts for Facebook". That does not mean they have access to the backend system for post moderation.

I'm still not comfortable with it at all. They should not be doing this.

They are moderating speech on a social media platform. Violating the 1st amendment.

I think I saw Mike Lee already claiming 1A infringement. I mean I know that’s the goto theme to reply with but they might have a decent case on it. The government actively conspiring with private industry to remove individual’s voices? Like you said Ministry of Truth. Somewhere Orwell is probably crying, not laughing.
