My intent for the "strong lean" was basically guys who were thought to be on "commit watch." Most think we get Keyton in 8 days. Thought we'd get Brown in 3 days but he just postponed - still, we're the leader. And Fields was a guy a few VQ "insiders" and writers suggested could pop to the Vols at any moment.


Hill has us in his top three, but has said more than once that uscjr leads, IIRC.

Not too shabby for May. I wonder how many of these guys want to commit before their senior season starts.

I've heard Pettway and Dawkins are both very high on their board. Much higher than their current rankings would likely suggest. I was hoping they would have Dawkins in the fold by now. Need to get him back on campus soon.

Dawkins is the kid who had no offers, visited and got a Vols offer. Then went to OSU and got an offer from them. I don’t think he had been very highly recruited up until that point so he probably is just going to do the process a little bit before deciding.

Pettway is a guy who I thought we’d have commited by now.

They both saw their offer list grow, and both are slowing it down.

Haven't seen anything to suggest we're not at or near the top of either of their lists.

Can't blame them for wanting to extend the process. I doubt either has committable offers elsewhere yet... just more attention than maybe they thought they'd get...which isn't a bad thing.
