Who are the QB official visits this weekend?

I'd like to have a Casey Clausen clone quarterbacking Tennessee for the next few years.

**DISCLAIMER: First of all, not aimed directly at OP, just seems to be a prevailing thought on the board that I have difficulty understanding.**

Maybe I was spoiled as a kid with Peyton Manning, or maybe I am still haboring anger from some games of my years on campus when Clausen was the QB, or maybe everyone just looks back at statistics and remembers better time with nostalgia, but...

I remember loathing Casey as our QB when I was a Freshman and Sophomore. I specifically remembering riding the elevator with him and Brittany Jackson in the Andy Johns apartments the day after we lost to Florida in a monsoon. Right before half time, he fumbled three consecutive snaps when we had the ball on the Florida 2 yard line. I was very tempted to drop my keys in the floor of the elevator and pick them up continually. However, I was smart enough to realize that he was an SEC football player and I was not in the best shape of my life, so I chose self preservation.

Maybe had I followed through with it, I would not harbor the same disdain for CC and I could have the love for him that it seems 80% of this site does.

If you hated Casey because of turnovers vs FLA you must have hated Peyton. Peyton turned into an INT robot for some reason against UF. Casey went 2-1 vs Flor and beat them when they were the #1 team. He was 3-1 against Ala.Casey had a great career at TN and will always be one of my all time fave Vol QB's. Had it not been for the rest of his teammates having zero focus when we played LSU after beating FL he would have gotten to win a NC. I would take a Casey Clausen QB team every year.

I loved the Ice man. Wasn't a huge fan of his brother Rick but Casey busted his a$$ for TN and his teammates. Tough as hell too and she shows that when he beat Ala his FR year. The Ice Man legend was born on that day.

With you 100%. Casey was a winner. I might give up a gonad to have one like him every year.

Yes sir I'd chip in and give one too. Always hoped one day he would end up here on staff. Probably never happens but would be great to see one day. Unless he wants to send his elite players down to Knoxville every year when he has some.Could make for a great TN/Cali football pipeline.

I see your point. I saw Alvin Harper be a total jerk in a basketball game at HPER and never liked him after that. Casey, however, is one of my favorites. He was tough and good in the clutch. You are right about one thing. He didn't play well in bad weather. He was 34-10, an incredible 14-1 on the road, beat Bama 3 times, Florida twice, and beat Miami, Michigan, and Notre Dame. He also played when we were still relevant.

Would be huge, because Clemson commits apparently aren't allowed to take OV's.

So therefore, its' unlikely.

But....if there's 1-2 QB visitors this week, and we have not yet heard who they are....could be big.

Lawrence, McKee, Fields, Emory Jones would all be acceptable.

What's the punishment? We won't take you're 5 star butt if you visit someone else? I call bull hockey! Clemson won't be able to pull this crap for long.
