Who could we hire if we were looking for coach now?

I just wonder who we could have hired if we had an opening this year instead of last year. More difficult market? Would our current coach be available considering ncaa issues? There sure are a lot of good to great jobs available. God, the thought that Fulmer might still be making the hire. What a nightmare.

We just need to thank God we got Huepel and not wonder anything. I have no idea what his ceiling is but as low as we have fallen the past decade this is by far the best TN has ever looked. He brings an exciting scheme and has us bowling in his first year. We can downplay the wins over SC, KY, and MI as not being the big three but these teams have beat us regularly the past few years. Those were big wins and if Hooker isn’t hurt we may have beaten Ole Miss. This has been a good year.

I think the OP was just pointing out that if Pruitt had stuck around another year, we would've had an even harder time finding a coach than we have in years past, including last year.

This time last year, when it was apparent we had ANOTHER season of Pruitt led apathy, my despondent answer wouldn’t have been realistic enough. I truly believe this job would have been beyond toxic.
