Mike Dubose last two more years after affair with his secretary. These coaches make megabucks, they can write a 500K check in a heartbeat to sweep it under the rug.

Pitinos news was confusing when it came out. Pitino is also the coach of a basketball team that recruits 6 players a year at most. Petrino wrecked his cycle with a blonde bimbo on the back and lied about it. Thats a trifecta. Add that he was a successful head coach of an SEC football team and it is instant headlines for weeks. This is not going to simply go away. Personally, I think they have to fire him. She wasnt just his lover she was a subordinate. Sexual harassment issues scare administrators and Im sure their legal team is advising them to fire Petrino. Imo of course.

What Pitino did was pretty shady, regardless of how the details came out, and it isn't hurting him too badly. Granted, he is recruiting fewer players, but if Petrino does return, I doubt this will hurt his recruiting that badly. However, I have been wrong before. Personally, I hope he gets fired.
