Again, the transfer portal has changed the recruiting model fundamentally. Too many here are treating HS signees as real recruiting, whereas the transfer portal is some unsustainable and inferior stop gap that is not really real recruiting.
But, they are now equivalent entities.
When you sign a HS recruit, there is no guarantee she will stay put for the 4 years and conversely, with recent rule changes, transfers now have an incentive to stay put in their new school, lest they have to sit out a year with a 2nd transfer.
If Kellie signs some quality sophomores in this transfer portal, that "counts" as recruiting and those players are just as real (and more experienced) than a HS recruit.
