Who do we want from Texas A&M ?

He would be high on my list, but CTV will need to see if he in particular fits the culture.

I wasn’t impressed with him calling balls and strikes (and wrongly) while batting.

They have a stable of good players who could be Day 1 contributors here or at almost any other program. They had a lot of talent on that team.
Laviolette is a great guy and Tony V is all over him. Will not be surprised to see him visit here.

Everyone in the country after him though

Seeing all these A&M kids transferring is no surprise but following a coach that just pulled a dick move by pretty much taking a job 6 weeks ago leaves a bad taste in my mouth as a parent , I’d have a hard time signing off on my son following him to Texas , I’d be ok with transferring but follow that weasel anywhere

I will disagree just from talking to the players. Several have played with him in travel and summer and they say he is a great guy. I think dad is just not emotional and very invested in his son. As I have said before, when someone is on the other team you hate them but when that same player/coach is yours and they help you win you love them. I had no opinion but he seemed like a neat guy the one interaction I had with him this weekend. My oldest son asked him for a ball when they were taking bp and he said we had on the wrong colors. Then he handed the same ball to a young UT fan standing near us and looked at my son and laughed. My son said how come you will give him a ball and not me. He caught a ball in center field and held it up to my son, like here you go, and rolled it about 20 feet from us but still on the field where he could not get it and just laughed. That is not a jerk but a good fun loving kid. When we got ready to walk away, he laughed and said see you tonight. And then asked if he really wanted a ball. My son laughed back and said I'm good. I got one from the winning team. They both laughed. That is not a bad attitude kid. I think he is a winner and Tony and the players want winners. I don't see dad interfering in games but I can bet he will be invested as a former pro player wherever his son goes and those are normally not bad to have in the program either. But I'm guessing he goes to Texas.
Would love to know if Kent’s dad tried to inject himself into their program. He projects himself as a miserable, aloof person. Someone like that could be a constant problem to deal with. Maybe he’s a great asset to have around, just hard to see that with how he carries himself.

I absolutely despise the whole transfer portal thing, but...Grahovac at 3rd, Curley at SS and Antigua at 2nd, looks pretty solid!
Ensley in CF and LaViolette in RF looks nice too.
🤷‍♂️

How is it arrogant to want players that literally entered the portal?
I think it is reference to fan bases that believe or act entitled to every top player because of the name of the university. Oh we will get them, no doubt. Drop money on them. Drop our name. We are the best so we will always get them or win. Don't start becoming entitled just because we won our 1st championship 5 minutes ago.

Doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t want good players. Entitled is when one “expects” to get every good player they want.

All of em. Heck of a team. That series could’ve gone either way, we just made the bigger plays when we needed to. I’d take any of the kids from that team.
