I think in a standard 3 wide set this is what it will look like we will have Croom and North on the outside and Pig in the slot. Vincent Dallas will be the fourth wide receiver off the bench and when they run five wide outs then Cody Blanc will be the 5th receiver off the bench. I think that Drae Bowles and Jacob Carter will be the back up to Croom and North and Devrin Young will be the back up to pig. I think that Paul Harris will either red shirt or he will be used like Justin Hunter his freshman year on third down and when they need a jump ball in the end zone. Ryan Jenkins and Josh Smith will red shirt but get a lot of action returning kicks and punts.

We could be really bad at WR, or we could be ok. Doubt we'll be great. Not enough experience, and established playmakers are missing badly.

Switch Dallas and Carter and that's pretty close for me

Edit: Paul Harris where u have Carter, Dallas stays at WR#4, and Blanc and Carter are a toss up for 5

I doubt Harris enrolled early to redshirt. Might not start, but I'd be shocked if he was a RS.

I will not speculate as to who starts where but i would no rule Harris out. I watched him live and in person Tuesday and I can tell you he has what it takes to be very very good. He just needs some more strength and time. It was clear to me the reason he is getting attention is because the staff sees what he could be. Those that have played understand that if the coaches are not on you they do not see you as one of the stars. I will be shocked if he is a bit player. they are trying to drive him to his potential.

I thing I know for sure, is that we do not have a deep threat W.R. So, to get a passing game, we will have to have short or intermediate passes. Screen plays, etc....

I would say the tall guys will be a factor in the end zone, but not as deep threats. So, when we get in 3rd and long, we will need a gimmick play or a mid direction play to get the 1st down.....

Top three are really a toss up(excepted for maybe Croom) but, I'd say Croom, Harris and North.....followed by Carter, Bowles, Blanc and Dallas. Pig will most likely start over Young in the slot because, he is more shifty but, they will split playing time evenly. I believe North and Harris will start to surprise people about mid-way through the season. But one of them will step up and become a big play maker for us as they get use to SEC play.

Maybe it's our turn to have a standout Freshman WR...ala Cooper or Mitchell. One of these guys might be a difference maker!

WR2: Harris
Slot1: Blanc

Second group:
WR3: Croom
WR4: North/Bowles both will play
Slot2: PIG/Young

Filler/red zone WR:Dallas

KRs: Young and Freeman
PR: Freeman and Young

You obviously don't understand the concept of a redshirt.

Jmo. No clue how he will do learning the playbook, and I would be willing to bet he wont be ready to start the 1st game.

EE would be different. (Like Harris)

A lot of people seem to forget that Hunter only had 10-12 catches his freshman year and Da'rick barely saw the field. North will be a great receiver and might push for more and more PT as the season goes but I highly doubt he starts game 1.

My lineup would be as follows:

WR1: Croom
Blanc
North

WR2: Harris or Carter
Bowles
Smith

Slot: Pig
Young
Jenkins

No way does Harris start over Croom, not with what we're hearing out of spring practices.
