Who do you think will be our starting three WR

A lot of people seem to forget that Hunter only had 10-12 catches his freshman year and Da'rick barely saw the field. North will be a great receiver and might push for more and more PT as the season goes but I highly doubt he starts game 1.

My lineup would be as follows:

WR1: Croom
Blanc
North

WR2: Harris or Carter
Bowles
Smith

Slot: Pig
Young
Jenkins

?

Josh...got it.

I thing I know for sure, is that we do not have a deep threat W.R. So, to get a passing game, we will have to have short or intermediate passes. Screen plays, etc....

I would say the tall guys will be a factor in the end zone, but not as deep threats. So, when we get in 3rd and long, we will need a gimmick play or a mid direction play to get the 1st down.....

We have plenty of guys that can get behind the coverage. They just aren't 6'4".

We could be really bad at WR, or we could be ok. Doubt we'll be great. Not enough experience, and established playmakers are missing badly.

I don't see us being really bad, too much talent even though they are young. Not comparing any of them to Hunter or Rogers, but Croom and North could have the same kind of impact this year that they did their first year here.

Green-Beckham only started one game this year, so I'd agree that he probably won't be a day-1 starter

That was against us, correct? And he torched us. Course we were playing the Sal-shift D as we did most of the season.

Some of you guys have been smoking something. Sure would like to get some of that!!

Anybody who waches the videos and reads the notes on the team would know that Blanc right now is playing with the First team. And anyone ruling out Dallas is crazy! he will be trading out with someone on first team duties no doubt.

Right now as it is with the team:

1WR
Croom
Carter

SLOT
Pig
Young
Josh Smith (this is where i see him)

2WR
Blanc
Dallas
Foreman (this is where i see him)

3WR
Harris
Bowles

4WR
Jenkins
North

North can Harris could be big time players by mid season but i don't see them doing anything any sooner. We will see!

If the QB delivers the ball consistently to these guys, and I feel like they will, they should be good. The coaches speak is that everybody needs to improve, and that is every coaches cry for their teams. Inexperience is a factor that can be made less of a problem with talent and good coaching. I think our opponents are in for some surprises.

Unfortunately, I think we know why. Lets be honest.

That may be part of it. But people ride Carter's jock strap all day when Blanc has wayyyy better talent and measurables.

Edit: nothing against carter, I just think Blanc is getting the short end of the stick with alot people

No way North starts. Hunter had a handful of high jump plays.
And does anyone remember how limited Darick was?

Hunter and Rogers had to sit behind two established senior receivers in Dmoore and Gerald jones. No one in this group is established and has the experience they did. Will he start? I tend to agree with you but I definitely see him getting plenty of PT. I see almost every receiver barring walk-ons getting PT. imo

Landon I agree on one part. Teh experience of Moore and Jones.
However, they didn't have to sit behind. A team will play up to 5 WRs in an offense. Hunter was situational only. DR could not learn the routes, so he primarily ran reverses.

Expecting a true freshman to start at WR just isn't realistic. So, I still say North doesn't start. I'd say Harris has a better chance given the spring.

Dallas, Croom and Blanc are my pick.

Also, I noticed that Harris' measurables were listed at 6'4" 186 when he signed. Guy apparantly went bizerk in weight room, cause he looks easily north of 200.

I don't know that I see North or Harris starting. They're both freshman right? I definitely think they'll get a buncha reps though. I believe the majority of skill positions will rotate frequently in order to keep the high octane pace CBJ wants.

They all seem interchangeable at this point...Dallas may be our returning leader in catches

Just curious, what makes you say that?
I would say, Harris is practicing with the team and learning playbook. North is in highschool.
I think Harris may be the biggest steal of this class. Based on his film I thought he was underrated. This kid has size and incredible skill set.
Now North may get here and be Jerry friggin Rice. We'll see.

Yeah I see what you mean, he's got a 6 month head start. But North was what, the #2 WR of the 2013 class? He definitely could be Jerry Rice, and that would be fn awesome! Wide Receiver U baby!

Croom and Pig will both do well. I don't bank on Marquez starting just yet he needs to clean up his routes. A lot of what they did with him in high school was utilize his physical abilities. If anything i see him being used like Justin Hunter going down for jump ball situations, or like Cordarelle in getting hand-offs, which he did a lot of in high school
