"Since the original innocuous tweet 48 hours ago, from a private account, which did not even use the name “Trump,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been absolutely silent about the illicit FBI raid on the home of Florida citizen and former President Donald J Trump. DeSantis is showing us all who he really is; but are you willing to accept it? "

Running one's mouth without any actual knowledge is a dummy's way of doing things. I don't really like DeSantis, but he's no dummy.

The battle America deserves is DeSantis vs Newsome. Two guys who clearly represent their respective political movements. Florida is about as red as California is blue. Both states have reasons to brag and clear flaws. What would be great but doubt would happen is if each guy picked a very moderate VP. Some milk toast, polite, and soft spoken centrist instead of pandering to the extremes.

What we’ll get is Grampa Joe vs Grampa Don screaming or mumbling at each other about how corrupt the other one is. Then when the other guy wins half the country will say the election was illegitimate while the other half goes on a witch hunt for their political enemies.

Desantis wins by better than a two to one margin over chess pie. I’ll take it, but I do like a good chess pie.

I’m afraid you’re correct about 2024. I would love to see DeSantis run/win. I like your idea of both candidates picking moderates.

DeSantis would be pretty much an automatic vote from me. If it’s Trump I probably won’t vote.

It will be Trump/Desantis which will take care of the position until 2036.

Desantis doesn't need to be a passenger on anyone's ticket. I wouldn't run the risk of being on Trump's ticket. Alone they can go through 2036 which gives the Republic 12 strong years of consistency, prosperity and strength.

By that time Desantis would've help reload the Republican bench.

No way in hell DeSantis would wait around and be a Mike Pence hanging around for a VP spot. DeSantis is running, make no mistake. He's held rallies at New Mexico and Arizona last weekend, and is going to Pennsylvania this weekend. He'll be on the 2024 GOP primary ballot.

Did I say Desantis would be a VP? I alluded to the fact if Trump runs then Desantis won't challenge him. He is in line regardless. He won't be on a ticket as a VP. He could possibly beat Trump now, but it would do a disservice if they beat each other up on the trail.

The progressives kept the collusion lie alive for over 3 years. They only need about 18 months with this one.

Someone like Jim Webb. Sane, lucid, moderate, capable, puts the country before self, donors and party.
