We suck this year. If the only reason he came here (as some claim), why would he come to Tennessee to play 12 games for a most likely NIT team. He can't go pro early because of it. So what's the point of going to a school just because you can play 10-12 team for a NIT team, instead of going to legit national title contenders in Florida or Kentucky, or your home school in Memphis?

Ok... I gotcha now. You never know, some kids don't like sitting tho. What you say makes sense... but it's not out of the realm of possibility that he chose UT because of immediate playing time.

He chose UT because it's where he feels more comfortable. If PT was the main reason he had his pick of plenty of other options.

False. He has wanted to go to UT for quite some time. He was coming here even if he was eligible for high school ball this year. He liked Pearl and his staff and he likes Martin. Both deserve credit, obviously. But he also just flat out likes the school, campus, the fact that family and friends attend UT. Lots of factors gave UT an advantage.

Humph....why do people just make crap up for no reason. Gotta love what message boards have done for worthless opinions. He might as well have been a silent commit under Pearl. He was definately coming to UT had Pearl not gotten into trouble and been fired. But that does not matter at this point.

And I'm telling, Jarnell is a smart kid. He wouldn't do that for 12 games for a NIT team as his main reason for coming

He said -- again -- today, live on the Sports Animal, that it was the relationship he established with CCM that swung the deal.
