Who, in the Politics Forum, actively participates in a Neighborhood Watch program?

You said, if you accept pacifism as an axiom, then logically you must arrive at anarchy as your idea government because government=force.

If you take anarchy to its logical conclusion, it also ends in force. Therefore, pacifism is logically invalid.

Which is odd

Can you explain the anarchy to force chain? I have never seen that demonstrated?

It is rather simple. Hobbs, Locke, and Rousseau all wrote extensively about it.

There are is x amount of resources to survive, and greater than x number of people. Couple that with life's innate soul purpose to survive, you end up with force.

I imagine your a smart guy from your posts and know this. So I assume that you believe individual force is better than some abstract, socially acceptable force (government). At the end of the day, to me at least, force is force. All that matters is to what extent.

Can't say I have. Grew up in the Country then spent my 20s living in Hickory Hill then South Parkway in Memphis. You learn quick that staying out of your neighbors affairs is in your best interests.

I live in a small town in NW TN now and aside from the occasional Meth Bust its pretty quiet here.

I don't agree with the assumption that there are fewer resources than are required for survival for the whole.

I also believe that the individual has a choice to how he reacts to a lack of necessities. Many people can and have chosen to die rather than commit violence.

I believe that all force is individual force. I reject the concept of society as an entity except as a useful fiction.

To quote from some research I have been doing:
Perhaps we may simply adhere by Philonous’ stated universal maxim that “Everything which exists is particular.”[2] Thus, there is no “humanity” per se, but collections of individuals comprising “humanity.” Thus, we recognize each individual as an individual and not a mere drop in the sea of humanity. We may rely on natural law in stating that each life is intrinsically valuable because of the sheer fact that it is a life. Therefore, each life is equally valuable in and of itself.

I think if we want to continue this, we should start a new thread. I didn't mean to hijack this one.

Agreed. If you do start another thread, I'll have to catch up to it in a few hours. It's almost 4am and I have to get up at the ass crack of dawn to coach basketball. Goodnight.

What are the qualifications to be a Neighborhood Watchman, iyo?

Your neighbors should know you, especially the kids in your neighborhood.

You should have common sense.

You should never use blogs as a primary source in arguments.

You should not be on the sex offender registry (unless it is for stupid crap).

You should have a full-time job.

Tswafford lol!!

"I run a color free neighborhood" in his gunnery SGT Hartman voice lol

Grizz, this is off topic but is it true that Greenbrier used to be big Klan country. My grandparents use to live there and never saw a single AA there. I had buddies in college from Springfield that used to tell me stories about Greenbrier but never knew if they were BSing or not

Yea I am. We got enough ammo to hold down the fort against a small army. Of course I live on a dead end road so if somebody comes out here late at night they are looking to steal something.

I'm the last house on a dead end street. The closest 5 houses have retirees in them, so no vehicle goes past unnoticed.

I'll never win Yard of the Month but I can leave my doors unlocked.

I grew up in the burbs, my parents were always more miffed about the HOA than anything the neighborhood watch did.
