Who is strong in national defense ?

Carter let the branches fight it out for who was going to get credit, then allowed a piss poor plan to take action. If you study that raid it was doomed for failure because the Army, Navy and Air Force all wanted a piece and Carter allowed it to happen.

Yes, and the Obama administration did not.

Love how the Republicans take a "The buck stops here" approach to every bad action or decision of agency administrators and say Obama has to take responsibility for that, but then insist Obama didn't do much of anything when it came to getting Bin Laden.

Shameless.

I think the entire military learned a lesson there and spec ops tactics and controll changed more than any POTUS not allowing that to happen.

I don't see anyone saying that. What I saw was the BO admin TAKING credit as if BO himself was on the ground. Hey BO made a good decision on the go order, but a terrible one for making it public.

IMO, Obama is as much of a hawk as Bush 2. He is pretty strong on defense, not so much on domestic policy.

Benjamin Netanyahu and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad . . . and both are total idiots.

I can honestly say I hate everything LG stands for, his spineless propaganda is flawed and void of any sense of reason.

I stand for lower tax rates (just applied evenly to all sources of income).

I stand for cuts in social spending (matched on a 1-3 basis by revenue increases, meaning for every $3 in cuts, we increase revenue by $1).

I stand for expanding domestic oil production in the U.S. (in exchange for elimination of tax breaks for oil companies and for investment by them into new refining capacity)

I stand for lower regulation of small business, in particular.

I stand for cutting all federal agencies' budgets by 15%.

what tax breaks are oil companies getting that other companies aren't?

Romney said he didn't think it was worth so much effort to kill bin Laden.

Obama said he would bring everything to bare to "kill him."

And he did.

Everything to "bare?". Freaking seriously? Our chief of no profession ever was naked?

I'm all for that, but with your peoples enviro regs they couldn't even get one permitted. At least profitably.

You know, I noticed I had done that earlier and meant to fix it, but got distracted.

Nice to see you back, hope you have a great weekend.

I'm sure that if in the national interests we needed one and someone wanted to build it, everyone could make a concerted effort to get it okayed and cleared pretty quickly.

You don't get it do you. The rules as written give the oil companies excuses NOT to even try to build. They can't do it profitably so the stockholders will not approve the expense. Thus it gives them the ability to manipulate the supply.

Take away the draconian EPA rules and you take away their excuses.

Has nothing to do with "National Defense". Cool story though. BHO has been given credit by every one on here for making the call to go get him. But he is still very week on National Defense and the US isgetting weaker every decision he makes about it.
